why is it not ok for men to be gay but its sexy for women? i am not saying women are not like that with men but why are we like that with each other? That is a cultural conditioning. Male Homosexuality is viewed as being evil and disgusting for some reason but women together is hot and sexy. Part of that is because women tend to embody sexuality. Culturally they represent it. Males do not. Maybe cause its just gross and its not perception just gross! Well that is your opinion. I was attempting to address her question with a legitimate response. I realize you were trying to not be rude yet that response does come across as quite offensive. I would recommend you preface statements of that nature with a "I am of the opinion of" homosexuals are this and that. My answer was quite simple. Im not sure what you didn't understand but I will be happy to explain if that is required of me.  If my statement is wrong, please explain in what respect. I was never addressing the issue of homosexuality being a learned or genetic response. I was speaking in terms of CULTURAL expectations and why male homosexuality is viewed as "evil" or repugnant and female is considered "sexy and attractive." I am not "pissed off" in the slightest. You seem to feel that my statement is invalid in some respect. That would be your opinion yet you offer no evidence to counter what I have presented. You are simply saying, "I think you are wrong." That does not invalidate my statment. You have yet to make a concise point thus far and are all over the map.. You are bringing up subject matter never even addressed in my initial post. Its obvious that you are uncomfortable with homosexuals, however, that is your PERSONAL opinion of them. People "choose" what is considered sexually appealing based on cultural standards. I take it you have never traveled at all? In another country, what we consider "sexy or attractive" in the United States might be totally rejected and replaced by something entirely different. There are certain universal attributes that a male or female might possess that are considered "attractive" yet tastes vary dramatically throughout the world. You have a foot fetish. That is your PERSONAL SEXUAL FETISH. Another man might love breasts. And still another legs so on and so forth. |
