The precise number of victims of the massacre may never be exactly determined. The International Committee of the Red Cross counted 1,500 at the time but by September 22 this count had risen to 2,400. On the following day 350 bodies were uncovered so that the total then ascertained had reached 2,750. Kapeliouk points out that to the number of bodies found after the massacre one should add three categories of victims: (a) Those buried in mass graves whose number cannot be ascertained because the Lebanese authorities forbade their opening; (b) Those who were buried under the ruins of houses; and (c) Those who were taken alive to an unknown destination but never returned. The bodies of some of them were found by the side of the roads leading to the south. Kapeliouk asserts that the number of victims may be 3,000 to 3,500, one-quarter of whom were Lebanese, while the remainder were Palestinians.

There are too many instances of similar Israeli atrocities to mention here or for them to be mere coincidence believable by the world!

Its called re writeing history and calling it fact, what would hold up in a court of law is what you have to ask yourself when dealing with contentious issues. Were is the evidence and is it credible and unbiased? I have been accused of cutting and pasteing blogs or opinions but I only choose the ones that are well writen and accurate. Any facts in dispute can be researched and counter pointed but please spare us the Isreali governments biased version of events. They have a vested interest in public opinion being their verry existance as a state depends on the generosity of the american governmet.

Here is the difference between the Palestinian
and Israeli approach.

1. Palestinians purposely shoot missiles at civilians
to try to maximize civilian Israeli casualties.

2. Israel only attacks military targets after months
of harrassment and they warn the neighboring civilians
with phone calls and leaflets to leave areas where
military operations are planned in advance.

one is murder and the other is justified self-defense

You call what we did in Iraq diplomacy?
I dont call any of our tactics used in the ME in the last 100 yrs diplomacy!
None of them have worked and to keep repeating the same mistakes is ignorant!

I am not some flower holding welting pacifist either.
I would just as soon seal the borders of Israel off and bomb them until they realized what they are doing to the Palestinians felt like.
But that would make me no better than them and rather than bring some semblance of peace and equality to the region would merely continue it under a different scenario!
