Topic: should I? | |
---|---|
Ok so some of you already know my situation! But I have been in a LDR with a guy from here for 8 months! We planned on seeing each other in early february! Well after Christmas he decided the distance was too hard and he left me! After lots of tears (from both of us) he decided that he needed some time to think things over. He says he still loves me and has never fallen in love with someone as much as me, but the distance is too hard and he needs time to think about whether its worth doing a LDR until im out of school, he wants to be with me but is afraid he will hurt me again! In the meantime, Im waiting... and secretley hoping that we will continue to be together! Am I crazy for waiting?

HECK no you are not crazy! If it is real true love than distance wont be an issue and neither will time!!

You are 19 and I assume that he is around your age. You both are young! If it was meant to be than it wouldn't be that hard! He would be willing to be patient and wait like you are.

LOL This is absurd.
Seriously, you will meet someone in your own area if you just go out and do things. Forget about this clown. |

LDR....Don't do the crime if you can't do the time

True love doesn't know distance.

You're going to hear it from both sides of the spectrum on here. Most people who've tried the LDR have been burned by them. But, for those few who have put the effort in, it can be just as rewarding. I'd say do what feels right. If you think this guy is the one you want to be with, don't let him get away so easily. I ended a few LDR's and wish I hadn't afterward. Good luck to you.

Personally I am not the type to wait around for someone to decide if they are going to rip out my heart or not. I guess you just have to ask yourself if he's worth waiting for. I know the pain you are feeling while you wait and it's almost worse than just knowing for sure that it's over. Keep your head up

i'm afraid that it does not sound like he is
as committed to the relationship as you are... if he wants/needs to break it off because the distance is too much of a problem and there is no way you can be closer then you are probably better off to let him go - sorry to say both partners need to be equally committed for it to be right |
|
|
|
if you haven't yet met in real life, i'd seriously question his sincerity.
also, if he's giving you indications that he isn't ready to commit, he probably isn't ready to commit. personally, i'm content in my own relationship, which is long distance. however, although we work well with the current setup, we still are contemplating ways to bridge the gap. and THAT is the difference (in my own opinion anyway) |

you should do what's right for you
all the advice in here is people telling you what would be right for them. You can't base your life decisions on that. You have to decide what is right for you and live with the results |

Relax, it's just a random guy on an online forum. You're takin' this a little too serious coming from a guy who doesn't even know you.

i hate when some of these guys just want to be a smart ass when they dont no everything It happens all the time. But getting worked up over it and starting a name calling convention isn't going to set them straight. Just ignore em'. As long as you and your girl work it out, who the hell cares what some guy 1500 miles away from you thinks? |
