Na, Ruth its an alpaca farm and they are raised for fleece. Its not like Im sharecropping here or something.  Im basically retired. I also have a clothing boutique here and I sell alpaca clothing and items. I know what you do.  Sharecropping would be a bit much for me anyway. I'd like have some land, grow what I want to grow and have a little store to go with it to sell all my "potions".   I guess this is  You could do that. The only problem is California wont allow you to run a business from your home. I am actually using a part of the farm itself as the clothing shop. So visitors can stop, look at the alpaca and then shop in the store if they want. In California you have to have all kids of licenses and permits to run shop and its a hassle. Hopefully I won't be in California forever. Seriously. Other than the beach, I don't like it. |

Well it was hit by a car for one thing. Its essentially road kill. I love venison but it just seems weird to eat it after rigor has probably set in and it might have embedded paint flecks in it. |

I love venison but it just seems weird to eat it after rigor has probably set in and it might have embedded paint flecks in it. i picked it up like 2 mins after she hit it, its actually cleaner to be hit than shot!!! |

My stepdad hit a deer this week. trashed his Buick.
But it's illegal in Texas to keep a deer you hit with your car (poaching laws) so they left it. My mom went out to look at it the next morning and someone had already cut off the head. They said it had about a 10 point rack by the way, nice dogs Krimsa as for what I'm doing today, it's dialysis day for me so I'll be driving into town in a couple of hours and getting my oil changed |

Thanks Quiet. I might be jumping to conclusions. I guess its just the "fear of eating roadkill." That makes me nervous about it. I live in an area where people hunt and then that same day distribute the meat to friends or what not.

My plans for today...go to feed my horse, pick up a pay check, check hours I work this weekend, (2 weeks off both jobs was SO nice!), then come home and take Christmas tree down...what a mess that'll be to clean up! Hope the vaccum cleaner can handle all those needles.
