I agree. Since he is drunk, maybe this is why he is saying all this stuff to you. Hopefully when he is sober he can remember and apologize.

I might have the utmost respect for a gay friend (I don't really have a gay friend). But if he starts openly making passes at me, to me, that is an indication of disrespect and a breach of trust.

In short, if he cannot show respect for your orientation (and it doesn't matter if he's lonely or what) then how can he expect you to tiptoe around his feelings?

If I was in this situation, I would say something like, "Dude, you're gay; I've already told you I'm not. This behavior will cease." Or something to that effect.

That comment would likely backfire and be considered encouragement. Expressing discomfort with the advances should be enough, and if that doesn't work, well, it's probably time to put some distance from the situation.

Tell you the true, getting rid of a friend is not the best solution for some simple word games, of course it doesn't mean going with the flow every time, having a good dialogue and some time to think things twice is worth the time.

Gay guys don't usually hit on straight males unless their gaydar pics up "tendencies". If he is off, tell him his "gaydar" needs an adjustment.

Its the Alcohol. Tell him it is messing up his judgment and that you don't want him around you when he is drinking.
