Including "National Insurance", a form of secondary Income Tax, you'd be paying 45% in the UK....Thats why I'm moving over there!!!!

ooooo okay gotcha...still aprox 25%...doesnt sound good to me...but i suppose...i will see my glass half full now. thank you. could be worse....the could take half of my wages to do whatever they do with them. i wont totally complain. i worked alot more last year....and i think i screwed myself when i did. idk

The more you make, the more they take. I have %3 pretax taken out automatically. After a short period of time, you don't even notice it.
I pay out %30 percent in child support, plus half a house payment to the ex. Thats after taxes. Plus I still have my own rent and expenses, I still contribute.

The average taken out in taxes and insurance and stuff is up to about 30% for people making a lot less than 70,000.

Never trust the government when it says a tax is going to be 'temporary'.....
