Bad combination.

I think you'll find most women aren't too worried about someone's money.

Nope. They are just worried about someone's LACK of it.

Don't kid yourself... there are women who really do not care about money... or the credit cards...

It does not buy happiness...

Well..I'm not kidding myself in any way. I speak from my own experience.

I have met a few women that said " Oh I don't care about money ".

Then, when things got a little tight, guess what the vast majority of the household arguments were about. MONEY!

The day I manage to come across a woman that says looks and money don't matter, and actually MEANS it...I'll probably keel over dead.

Many women nowdays make more than the guys they date or are married to. That's so old-school in thinking that women are concerned for what a guy makes anymore. Geesh, I ran circles around a # of guys I dated in the finance department.

Now, I got laid off last month, so who knows what my next job will bring in. But I'm not lookin for any guy to support me. I'm G2G in that dept and have it goin on.

Please. spock

Oh ya .. and as to looks? Again .. *sigh* I'm thinkin it's a KNOWN FACT guys are the more visually driven gender.

They have this "hot woman" image they are looking for when they are balding, pot bellied and old enough looking to be the woman's father.

Ya. so....huh

Again. I am speaking form my personal experience.

I KNOW that it doesn't apply to every woman on the planet.

It does, however, apply to the vast majority of women I have met in MY life.

I agree with that. laugh
The ones that make me laugh are the guys who are HUGE and they think a small petite little blonde is going to just oogle over them. I had a friend who was on the larger size, sweet guy, but he wouldn't date me because I was heavy. Every girl that broke his heart was some tiny little blonde. I asked him if he could see that trend or not.

Well gee...if you put it like that...maybe you shouldn't run into one. I would not want your longevity on this planet to be shortened for any reason...

I have seen that argument around here on multiple occasions.

Perhaps men ARE more visually driven.

But ya know what? I simply do not believe that 99.99999999% of women will EVER take the time to get to know someone that they are not attracted to. I am not referring to a friendship. I am referring to relationship/marriage potential.

What would be the point?

By the way..I AM bald, I HAVE a pot belly. Whether or not I look old enough to be some woman's father is up for debate.

Are you telling me that you aren't at all picky in who you date?? Some random ugly dude works just fine for you??

I could sit here and say yes and pretend its okay. But honestly, I really miss having someone special in my life. But since I cannot rush a relationship and learned to NOT jump into anything too quickly I'll just be happy and content being single, for now anyway.

That's what I am doing, too. flowerforyou

I agree. It gets really frustrating feeling like I just can't measure up to the "hot girl". I'm not saying you feel that way, you just reminded of me how I feel about it. It gets depressing.

It's not about being "picky" .. it's, for me, ALL about chemistry.

A guy can be hot as hell, (and I've been hit up by a great share of them) and if I don't sense connection .. I'm not goin further. Period.

But, I find I am never attracted to big 'mountain' type men either.

You drive me crazy with your pessimism! I know, I know, I have told you before, but I'm telling you again. Knock it off!!! It is your biggest fault. You are not ugly, no one cares how much or how little money you make. You don't find someone because you truly believe that you won't! And, don't tell me it's not true or I will reach through this computer and smack you.

I only say all this in love.  laugh

That's right. It is all about chemistry. I am naturally attracted to bigger guys. But the last guy I was with was on the small size. But, it didn't matter because I got to know him and there was a lot of chemistry.

In my marriage, it was my EX who was freaked out about the lack of money. But it was HIM who was spending it. All I cared about was having enough to survive, pay our basic bills and supply whatever our child needed. He was the one who was over concerned with money, not me.
