on here seriously refuse to date someone that has drinks occasionally on their profile?  Eh, I have occasionally on my profile, because that's exactly it. If I get together with friends I have not seen in awhile, I may have a beer, or a glass of wine. But it's not like I have liquor stocked on my shelves.....Once in a blue moon, I'll have a drink. But at my height, it doesn't take much. lol |

moderation is the key, saying social is tough cause veryone may have a different idea of that. sometimes i may go out and i have a few drinks with friends on a friday and saturday in a row, then i might not have another drink for 3 weeks 4 weeks, i do agree with all on here, i would never date someone that feels the need to drink a bunch everyday, getting drunk can be fun, being a drunk is not... for anyone around that person

I agree with everyone on here that says the social drinker and occasional drinker means different things to different people. My BF and I are lucky if we get to go out once every 1-2 months. Its nice for us to be able to get out, see some friends, and have a few drinks. In the summer, we could often be seen on the back patio in the evenings, with a beer in hand. Neither one of us call ourselves drinkers, but we enjoy a drink here and there. We've made it through 6 Christmas parties this week where alcohol has been served at all but 1 of them, and we each have had 1 drink each.

you're right. when I was much younger I was a SOCIAL drinker, almost every night all night long and a lot of days too ..    Have an attitude of gratitude. |

But I'm not going to watch another person I love drink themselves to death either. Me Me Me I don't drink!  I don't either, but I did until 2002. |

I enjoy a nice glass of wine occasionally and I have no problem with my date having a few as long as you let me drive if I suspect you have had to much. In my past relationship my partner always wore his leather jacket concelling a mickie and this was the only thing we ever argued about or if we only socialized in places were booze is available, red flags for me.
