Being single?
I love being able to go to the bathroom with the door open. Not having to fight for the covers when its 12 degrees! Not having to explain how I spend my money. Going out with friends whenever I want. That is a starter list...tell me what you love about being single. |

Going out with friends whenever I want. That is a starter list...tell me what you love about being single. Walking around naked to get a midnight snack... Oh, that isn't single, that is not having a roommate. Um, all those are good, I can't really think of another one. Mostly variations on those already stated. |

Being single? So I take it.... you're not looking for a relationship. No, but since I am not in one right now, I dont think I should wallow in self pitty over it. I thought this would lighten people up... to think about the good in their current situation (single during the holidays).... There are some great things about being single too! |

I'm not sure. Noting really comes to mind at this point in time since I've been single all of my life. But if I have to say just one thing.. being alone and use to it and not answering any one or body but family. Even then at times I don't mind.
I rather have some one though I can hug and kiss and hang out with and do whatever. I think I rather do that then being single for ever. Even though I am not much of a person to hug and all that stuff. I guess just because I never had any body I cared enough about to huge and kiss and hold hands etc. |

I've only known the single life, but everyone comes to me with their relationship problems.
Not having to worry about someone else's drama is a plus. |

Being single? I don't love being single. I do love being able to be me. This year, like many other years in my life, I've idealized to be waken up at sometime between 4:30 and 6 AM to 2.2 children bouncing up and down on the bed to make sure we're awake so they can open their presents. That's not this year, but there's a positive at least in the way I'm thinking. This year, when people were complaining about the finances and their kids, reminding them to be grateful and appreciating their family life made them smile. Odds are, same time next year, I'll begin to have that Norman Rockwell moment, although I can't say who it will be with. My jealousy of people who seem complete with a family to call their own is now at an all time low. This year at least on this point, noting to people stressed by the holidays that they have something to be grateful for itself brings happiness to me and that is more than enough. As for family, my family is more than 2000 miles away and has never celebrated Christmas. I myself never celebrated any holidays until my late teens. This year, my tree was up all year long. I think I'll leave it up again this year. It's not like I don't have plenty of room for it, or the spirit that it brings. Merry Christmas and if that doesn't work for you, happy holidays. |

Not having to explain why I dont feel like having sex Being able to pick up, take the car and go anywhere I want for any reason. Not having to explain where I was or what i did. Being able to lay around the house naked if I so desire. |
