Here's my thoughts in a nutshell:

Once upon a time in a land far away,
a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle. The
frog hopped into the princess' lap and said: " Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome prince, until an evil witch
cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper, young prince that I am and then, my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can prepare my
meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and forever feel grateful and happy doing so. " That night, as the princess dined sumptuously on lightly sauteed frog legs, seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce, she chuckled and thought to herself:

I Don't Freakin Think So. oops pitchfork

You forgot down to earth...

You're right, I missed that one.

And it's often used in conjunction with "laid back" and "easy-going" and various permutations thereof. And none of it means a damn thing.

Just once I would like to see a profile where someone says, "I'm unstable and easy driven to violent rages involving flame-throwers and loose chunks of U-238." Not that I would want to date someone like that, but it would HAVE to better than old "I don't know what to write here."

So they need a fictional character because all real men are out to crush their dreams. I thought it was because they had lost grip on reality and a possessed complete lack of originality. My mistake, thanks for the clarification.

Are you expecting all the women to just be looking for good kissers?

Um where exactly are you drawing that conclusion from? I'm expecting women to have a vagina and to not be completely void of thought. I'd say my expectations are pretty well grounded.

Just cause I thought it was funny you were pointing out you're a good kisser in your user ID .

I wouldn't go near that one even if I was wearing a lead suit, but points for originality, anyway.

Hahaha. I just thought it was what you were looking for. It caught me pretty off guard when I looked at it, I had to re-read it just to make sure I wasn't imagining things. People aren't usually so forthcoming.

I think "complete lack of originality" is 100% accurate.

Most profiles I've seen are either empty or might as well be.

"I don't know what to write here."

"Anything you want to know, you'll have to ask."

"I love my friends and family."

"I like going out or staying in."

And my all-time favorite: "I'm a fun person who likes to have fun."

I saw one yesterday -- I am NOT making this up -- the entire profile was "I'm me."

Makes you feel like you've known her your whole life.

I mean, what can you do with that? Then they wonder why they get e-mails that say "Wassup?" or "Nice boobs." No one with half a functioning corpus callosum is going to waste any time on them....

i've invented an auto-response to this that i post, for some don't have a manual i guess, and aren't thinking, and expecting it to fall in their lap, lol. and here it is:

you may want to tell people a little more than that, for it may leave the wrong impression that you might be lazy in a relationship, and don't want to write very much. take the time to do it anyway, for it is a reflection back on you, and don't you want to attract like minds? you are constantly learning on this site, and finding out more what you want from a girl, don't you want them to realize it? i think so, for you are trying to find out.... but you already know you can do it.....don't you.... you like reading more, rather than less about the girls that you see on here, for it entices you....well, entice them, and give something for them to think about.
good luck! hope this helps!

First, let me say I think that's a very decent thing for you to have done.

It may be that there are some who simply don't realize that what they write in their profile is pretty much all we have to go on (unless they also post in the forums, but the ratio of forum posters to lurkers is skewed heavily towards the latter) -- and maybe some of them can be enlightened to the point they will go back to their profiles and actually write something informative and useful.

Having said that, I will now speculate that their heads may explode if they attempt to read that many words at one time....

Cynicism. It works for all of us.

No problem. It sounds like we've run across some of the same sorts of people, the same sorts of situations, on these sites.

Nice to know that I'm not the only one who has noticed this....!

some are testing the waters, and think maybe that's what will work. we all learn in different ways, some not neccessarily orthodox.

It's just a figure to say they are looking for romance it might not be original but it's better than just a "will fill out later".

Not everyone as the gift of being articulate when it comes down to explaining in writing who they are and what they want that's why they use common phrase and expression it doesn't mean they are not good people, everyone as their plus and minus just have to look behind the profile cause you never know who's there.

Heh. I am not anyone's idea of Prince Charming.

As a matter of fact...my ex g/f told me that I am more like a Knightmare.

I'm a slothful bastard in search of a nymphomaniac who owns a liquor store. A bartender would be acceptable. I'm told that I'm laid back when I'm unconscious. I like giving wet willie's.
I'm also interested in a woman with a gymnastic background.
