This is about someone suing a good samaritan. The judge approved pursuing the lawsuit.

i'll help out as many as i can...carefully, and if they try to sue me, fluck em! they can send a man-hunt out after me, and they better kill me right there, cause if they don't...i'll turn into a bad samaritan,

It used to be in PA that if you were trained as a medical professional that you were protected by a Good Samaritan Law, but I don't know if it still exists.
I have to say that threat of law suit or not, I would risk everything short of my own life to help someone in need. Besides, you cant get money from the penniless. LOL. |

We get some first aid training every year and one of the funniest things is if someone is choking you need to ask their permission to help them. If they decline your help and you help them anyway they can sue you. So, you have to wait until they OK you or for them to pass out. Once they're passed out though, you're automatically allowed to help them! Lmao
|

I'm thankful I live in a state With a Good Samaritan law....they can't sue you for it

That's so SAD!!!! I'm sure the good samaritan assumed to help and was on adrenalin and it was good sense considering the gravity of the situation at hand. This was a "no win" situation for the samaritan. And, depending on the way the trial is handled, the person suing may or may not win.
But, anyone can sue ANYONE!!! Nobody is safe or immune from being sued. They may not win, but ANYONE can sue and cause grief to another if nothing more. |

Winx, I was just watching this report on ABC, and it's rediculous. I understand her anguish being parapledgic, but it could have been worse, like death. She should be thankful that her coworker cared enough to try to help.
