we are expected to get a mix of these things. But not be hit by the major part of the storm. Anyone else in the midwest actually hoping to get hit hard enough that the office closes and everyone is told not to come in?

I wished it could happen here...but our weather is supposed to be 78 degrees tomorrow. The past three days were nothing but nice weather. I want SNOW!

Well Moon I live in Lincoln and we are getting all 3 at the moment, my problem is I work for the Journal Star newspaper, so we NEVER close!!!

Ah. And I hear lincoln is gonna get hit worse than Omaha.


My folks are in Idaho. I got an email from my mom. She was home. This was strange.

They had snow for 24 hours and got 29 inches of the stuff.

im in oregon.. and its cold as hell frozen over.. ive got 2 feet of snow.. and its raining now.. and the snow is to turn to ice and make more ice and snow tonite..

I live in south central Michigan and we are under a winter storm warning until 7 pm on Friday...up to 10 inches of snow...then 1 inch of ice. I hope they're wrong about the ice.

The nasty is suppose to hit us tonight !!!! UGH

In KCMO, we are having a lightening show and drizzle with temps in the low 30s. Cars sliding down my street. We were released an hour early and hoping for a call in the morning not to come in. It so freakin cold. I have a new puppy that I am taking out every 2 to 3 hours, even at night. I must have been crazy to get him now. But he is mine now.

I Live in the mid-west and regauardless uf we get the snow I have to go in even if I have to walk in my snowshoes. Im a surgical technican and work in a level one trauma center more than likely I'll have to work

We're supposed to get around 10 inches of snow tonight.

Can't wait myself, I love driving in heavy snow. I just hate the idiots who don't know how to get out of the way. Nothing's worse than a 4 lane highway blocked off by people in light little cars doing the same speed.

Office close? The only thing that closes around here for weather is the schools.

Don't wish to hard I remember a few years back when we had an ice storm we were out of electricity for a week and we were the lucky ones some it took a month so never wish for trouble you never know with mother nature.

I remember my days of working in the hospital laboratory. No way you were calling in "sick". Always made it in, regardless of sleet, ice, or snow. One major snow storm the blood bank driver took several us home. I had a Honda Civic at the time, would have never made it home in it.
