I have seen cases with less going for them win....

its fighting about things that really dont matter in the long run. Its fighting simply to nit-pick....lady suing McDonalds for "burning" her with a hot pickle...and winning, a burgler suing his victim for falling through a skylight and cutting his leg open on a cutting board....and winning. Things of this nature

I never cared about someones name, I get to know the actual person.

I am almost fifty and my name is Wyn. In a school full of Mary's, Jane's and Susan's my name stood out. It wasn't fun to hear choruses of Winnie the Pooh but honestly I love my unusual name. My last name is also not common and my whole name has nine letters.

It has it's benefits. I am seldom confused with others, my records are easy to find, it fits in the little blanks on forms, and people remember it.

Unusual names build character and in my case reflect my ethnic heritage which I am proud of.

Oh....

You forget something about lawsuits with big judgments paid.

Many product liability cases never go to court and we seldom hear about those case.

In the majority of cases that go to court it's people like you and I, the jury, not lawyers or judges that decide award.

So next time you are pissed about some silly suit with a big award get mad at your fellow citizen.

I know the first name "Adolph" is still fairly common amongst German males but Adolph Hitler is going too far. Just my personal opinion though.

I can't believe that anyone would be that insensitive to their children's futures. They sound like white supremacists to me. I think the bakery had every right not to support that.
