Card Drawn: Two of Wands

This card speaks of self empowerment and creativity beginning to flow in your life.

The picture is of a girl on her new path that she has chosen with the world in her right hand and her wolf companion at her side. She holds two spears in her left hand. The light of new found wisdom is shining on her face.

She is on her way to a spiritual retreat or adventure with her friend. Her new found freedom is the secret to her own growth and creative power.

The two of wands is an energy that tells us success is imminent. You know what you are capable of and you understand what needs to be done. You realize that you are moving in the right direction and sense that your decisions are about to pay off.

It is the wonderful feeling of autonomy, self determination, and personal power. Your magic returns. Keep to the path of discovery you are on and the universe will give you whatever you need to accomplish your goals.

The moon and the hermit go well together and if they reflect your energy I would say that you are a person who is very interested in the secret knowledge and maybe the occult, although perhaps a bit spooked or maybe just fascinated by it.

Thats actually pretty close, I research and study in arcane, occult and spiritual knowledge. I don't fear as my parents would of had me believing. I try to strike a balance in most things, Faith and reason, Existence and non-existence, knowledge and understanding. Guess it is what drives me, trying to get the answers, find the truth as it were. I was afflicted with diabetes so my friends were always few and limited. Where i didn't have friends i turned to books, research and finding out why. I find most of my studies leading me into the eastern esoterics in my life. I tend to rely more on the eastern system of the I Ching for consultations but that has not hindered my research of others. People say i tend to be more philosophical in my ways then spiritual or scientific but i find that helps me maintain a balance in my thinking and beliefs that suits me well.

My good friend who is working with me creating these Tarot Decks is diabetic. She was very sick at one time, and even went blind for a while. She is doing well now but still has to be very careful to eat and check her blood.

Her being a Tarot card fan, and me being an artist, we work real well together designing the cards. I am also teaching her to oil paint.

We may name our Tarot Deck with both of our last names since all the cool names for tarot decks are being used already.

Yeah guess the saying the broken become masters at mending rings true. I am a painter and illustrator myself though i have yet to use those skills in the production of a deck myself. Art offers up many rewards to those who claim it as a passion and hopefully your friend will find as i have found that it has many healing elements to it as well.

Yes creativity and the designing of these two tarot decks has been a great spiritual healer for her. When I met her she was in awe of my painting. I told her I could teach her to paint and she could hardly believe that. She had been doing a lot of design painting with liquid acrylics on pots but never oil painting.

Learning oils was difficult for her but she soon put away her craft paints and began doing oils. She was a bit frustrated that she could not paint as fast and as good as me after a few months. I told her... damn it took me 40 years to get where I am, if you work really really hard you might get there in two or three years of dedicated practice.

Then I decided to design a tarot deck on the computer for fun. She jumped right in there to help. We had to get her a computer and she had to learn to use the paintshop program.

We are still learning the paintshop program. We pretty much only know how to use some of its features. We also have photoshop but that is a large learning curve that we have not mastered yet. I'm sure that program does wondrous things but it takes time to learn to master that.

Anyway, she has been given hope and is excited about the prospect of marketing this newest tarot deck. For us, it will be our retirement. We are very confident that we will be successful. Everyone who sees our deck wants one and we can't really sell the current one we are using. They are going to love our new one. Each card is a work of art. We are not doing the art ourselves, just the design of the card from old masters art work. Some cards will have parts from five different old masters works and it will look like a entirely new painting. Others, like our Queen of swords is an old master's painting used just as it is.

We have 13 more cards left to design.

Daily Spiritual Tarot Card reading

December 25th 2008 CHRISTMAS

Card Drawn: The High Priestess

When I decided to do a spiritual reading today I thought I would draw the King of Cups because he has always represented the personality of Jesus and this being Christmas I was wondering if I would draw that card. But instead, out of 80 cards, I drew the High Priestess.

From the book:
****************************

She represents the virgin goddess, daughter of the moon, archetype of feminine consciousness. She is intuition and inspiration. Her wisdom burns from within, she plies her craft in secrecy. Her knowledge resides in the heart.

Passive and receptive, she guards the gate of the unconscious and connects you to dreams, psychic powers, lunar cycles, and female mysteries.

Her sign is Cancer, her element is water, and her number is two, which represent balance. The High Priestess knows but doesn't tell. She prompts us to look deep inside ourselves and seek our own answers.

The reading:
Something is hidden in your life, a mystery or a secret eludes you. The answer may be found in your memories or dreams of the past. Rely more on intuition than intellect. Remain open to information that flows from your unconscious.

Spiritual:
Your personal path may still be hidden or unclear. But by remaining open and receptive to cues in your daily life, you attain the understanding you need.

Draw on your mystique and your intuition to achieve what you want.

**********************************

That reading was strait from the book "Power Tarot" it was not my personal reading. (The something secret in your life today may be the presents under the tree LOL.) Or it could be something more meaningful.

What this card tells me personally is to trust my inner voice and for me, that is my higher self. To others that would be how ever their God speaks to them. It tells me to pay attention to the messages God sends me, both in the outer world and in my dreams.

We think we talk to God in our prayers and we think he does not answer. He/she does answer and talk to us. We just need to learn to listen.

Today, listen to your heart.

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays etc.

I celebrate this day because now maybe they will stop showing all those annoying Christmas shows on television.

Daily Spiritual Tarot Card reading

December 28th 2008 CHRISTMAS

Card Drawn: The Wheel of Fortune

In drawing a card for the spiritual energy reading today I did not like to first two cards and so I put them back in the deck because they did not tell me much. Then the third card, the Wheel of Fortune spoke to me and explained what the first two cards were all about, so I am going to use three cards today for this reading.

1. Eight of swords
2. Death
3. The Wheel of fortune.

-- --

The wheel of fortune reveals our connection to luck and destiny. The word I have used for this card in the past was "fate" but fate is simply the law of attraction at work in your reality. The cause of things cannot always be known and when some things happen people will simply call it "luck" or "fate" simply because there is no way of knowing what the cause or reason might be.

But the Wheel of fortune is a sign that things have been set in motion and you will start to see that motion in the form of change. Sudden, unexpected changes. It is a time to revolutionize your life style and to bring it more in line to who you really are.

The seven of swords is a message that tells you that your confinement is self imposed and you have the power to break out of it at will, the only think holding you back is yourself. Look behind you, there is the door.

The Death card gives you the message that change is necessary and that if you do not make the change willingly, it will be forced upon you.

Then the Wheel of Fortune will begin to move your life into the direction that it is destined to go.

These cards were very meaningful to me at the ending of this year and the coming new year. Change is necessary and immanent.

Spiritual Energy reading for December 30 2008

Card drawn: Four of swords

This card shows a man lying on his back with one sword resting on the ground and the other on the tree above him.

The literal meaning of this card is incarceration. I have gotten this card when someone has been in jail or the hospital.

It can also mean a period of rest and recuperation or simply time out for quiet contemplation.

Spiritual meaning:
Read, study, and educate yourself in the use of guided imagery and meditation. Attend a sweat-lodge ceremony, take some time off and do something that feeds your soul. Focus your power and allow it to tap into the healing energies and restorative capabilities of the universe.

For me, it means to turn my attention to my world, my health, and pamper myself a little. I need that. bigsmile

I hope that is a good card for Ruth. She has deactivated her account due to several insults. I hope she just takes a break and then comes back.

Yep I'm home.. Back from a small, very small break.

Here is an energy reading for January 7th 2009:

The Card Drawn is Seven of Wands:

This energy is meant to tell the reader that he or she possesses the ability to succeed against all opposition.

The picture is a man riding his horse who is being ambushed by three bandits. He will triumph in his battle against them.

The reading:
You are in an advantageous position. Face up to the situation and take a stand, don't hesitate to assert your own point of view.

This card has a connection to wisdom and knowledge and incorporates skills in teaching, lecturing and composing. It is sometimes referred to as "the writers card."

Sometimes this card will come as a warning that someone of an opposing viewpoint wants to challenge yours or take you on in an argument or debate. When I see this card I know that I may encounter opposition out of the blue, but that I should stand my ground with confidence.

Spiritually, the meaning of this card is that your beliefs are tested by someone who hope to convert you to another way of thinking. Listen to what the individual has to say, weigh it against what feels right to you, then defend you position.

This cards is about standing up for your beliefs, meet your challenges and overcome the opposition.
