Crossroad
I stand upon the precipice These paths stand before me One bright and cheery One dark and deep Still another unpredictable The next one seems steep Or the path less traveled This crossroads I'm at Where the decisions greet Turmoil and indecision toss and turn me while I sleep. My dreams taking hold and trapping me deep. He loves me warm and tender. I can still feel his heat. But his heart is cold and frozen. This makes me weep. My heart torn asunder.... I trudge from the deep........ But from that road less traveled, these lessons, I'll keep. This crossroads I'm at Where the decisions greet Turmoil and indecision toss and turn me while I sleep. My dreams taking hold and trapping me deep. The next path the one so steep..... I tried that next path a mountain to beat The rigorous path it drew me in and Then suddenly, when I thought it wouldn't end I climbed to the top and looked back and I saw........... Everything I'd accomplished The small, the huge and even the dull..... Then walked the next path and saw. The path unpredictable throw itself in the loop...... So I jumped on its back and rode the wave out..... But it slammed me in the dirt I swear it face first..... I got back up and brushed myself off I turned and looked back at that thing with a scoff. I wont let it beat me never I swear........ and jumped off and on to the next. This crossroads I'm at Where the decisions greet Turmoil and indecision toss and turn me while I sleep. My dreams taking hold and trapping me deep. And on to the path that became dark and deep...... As I stumbled and tripping on this and that...... The darkness entrapped me with my feelings dark and deep.......... I drew up my courage and traversed this maze of emotion As the jungle cleared and I made my way The light drew me through to the beautiful day. So still not there I climbed the last pass.... And came to the ultimate path....... The one bright and cheery and beauty in mass..... And as the paths of the past formed one in the distance ..... I turned and marched forth into my eternal existence.....
