 you could try chains but there has to be snow on the road for them so that might be a bit extreme

ya I remember your area my dads best friend was a cop in Penticton , he tried to keep the peace up there an he did a pretty good job of it they had alot of respect for "Stretch" the guy was prolly 7 feet tall an he had a great sense of humour , he died of cancer a few years ago , but I herd many a story about that hood , oh an even before that my sister used to get beat up by the indians from there ..
at the time I thought it was great though cuz she used to beat the sense outta me   I bet if you asked a few elders they would remember "Stretch Gale"

OH! DAMN IT ! ARGH!! aawwwwwwwww jeeez sigh..... my friend wanted to come an pick me up an take me to his place but I KNOW we will get snowed in rather quickly if we even made it there ....ARGH!!!!!! damn snow !! he said I could stay the night if we got snowed in he has extra rooms BUT mother bear in me just cant go out in that snow again today an I have never left my lil guy over night an I I I awww it was so hard to say no .....the bottom lip is out ....he lives at an even higher altitude an has a big hill he was trying to back up cuz he wanted to come an get me an he made it up that hill but I was like nooo I'm to skeeered to leave the house come over here I got extra beds tooo ARGH!! so he made it up that hill an I said noooo...but really just the sounds of that hill I'm shaking I get freaked out in cars in the snow ..had one bad car accident that was enough to ruin me.....argh I feel bad argh I could be goin out ....argh I could be snowed in at somebody elses house to so argh stayin home......  wait can i drive there ?????  you dont wuv's me anymore !!!!!!

snow and ice is everywhere, all of the time, for months. it snows, melts some, snows more, melts some, snows more...and it just layers up and turns into hard dang stuff. Just remember about where the edges of the "road" should be, and stay out of the ditch.
If you're unskilled driving a sliding slippery vehicle...call a taxi. Like me, the taxi drivers whirl along in this stuff all of the time, day and night.
