Ok here goes...

Although you have seen me post generally on the lighthearted subjects..
I go through the whole community.. I may not always post something
indepth or "intelligent"... but I am sitting here reading and learning
what others are thinking and feeling.

Then there are the times I do respond and it's like death has warmed
over and the thread dies... To a newcommer it's kinda like walking into
a family reunion.. there is an akward silence .... and then I
just move along...and the conversation continues on like i wasn't even
there

If you want others to join in on the "mental stimulating"
conversations... It would be nice to have a response back.

example.. I posted my own topic once... about 70 people looked at it and
2 people responded... not much of a warm welcome.. so I just live the
lighthearted and save my deep meaningful thoughts to those who genuinely
want to get to know me.

Well I want to know you....and I haven't experienced that at all, I have
found everyone welcoming, and answers my posts..

Green Eye, That is the point that I am trying to make here, that the
more in depth ones seem to get ignored. And it does not make any sense
to me. Some times a place like this is all people have to get anytime of
stimulating conversation going.

whispers, sometimes ppl just want to escape the real world and just come
to the internet for "comic relief" or nonsense...

with whats been going on in my life with my kids.. its nice to have
mental stimulating conversations but sometimes I need a break and
well...

I do get what you are saying and anytime you wanna come and sit a spell
and kick off your shoes... I'll open my mind and you can pick it over

I have no use whatsoever for the inane TPAY or "rate me" threads. They
don't even have any comedic value, if you ask me. The rate me threads
are a combination of "Look at me, I'm so wonderful; Don't you agree?"
and/or "I am desperately in need of some reassurance, because I have a
complete lack of self-esteem." And the Would you ____ the Person Above
You" threads, IMO, are just completely nonsensical and a waste good
bandwidth. JMHO.

I love a good, humorous thread, though, that is rife with intellient
witticism and "double-entendres."

I very much like intellectual debate but I'm not going to delve into
topics I know very little about or have very little interest in, or just
because I like to hear myself talk.

I wish more people here would post things of a more "serious"
nature...but this place is no different from other dating sites. I think
we have a fairly good mix of the mundane and the interesting...but a lot
of the good stuff gets buried or tossed by the wayside by the "Would You
Have Sex with TPAY?" threads. Or someone's bar being opened. I mean,
hasn't everyone here screwed everyone else at LEAST once? Enough
already! We've got enough pseudodrama for a new soap!

Jean for once I agree with you. I know we have not always seen eye to
eye in a lot of topics or opinions. And that is OK, if we did it would
make it rather boring at times. You are right the "Would You ______ With
The Person Above You" threads do get rather old, and VERY pointless. I
really do not care about rating anybody. Give me a break. I am not that
starved for attention to even want to consider posting in there.

I have noticed that certain opinions are not very welcome on some of the
indepth threads.

Of course that has never stopped me from posting. But I don't post as
often since discord is not what I wish to sow.

Sometimes I just can't keep my mouth shut though so be nice to me. K

The "intellectual" conversations are here, you just have to search for
them. Although alot of them feel more like a conversation over a table
in a comedy club. I have had the best conversations with friends here
via emails...lots of em...lol.

Adventure, I am nice to everybody, I do not like putting other people
down. We are not perfect in any means. I know that everybody is going to
have there own views and opinions and are not going to agree with
everything that is being said. And that is just fine. It can make for a
open, honest healthy debate.

Well, there's a first time for everything, right?

My opinion is a lot of people stay away from the "intellectual" topics
because they're afraid of a little controversy. God forbid anyone DARE
disagree with anyone else's point of view.

And so the TPAY and rate and other "silly" threads pose very little risk
of getting "challenged." Know what I mean?

That's why they keep going around and around and around...

"Rate the person above you."

"10, 10, 10, 10, 9.8 (just to show that not everyone can be a 10) 15, 20
(just to show that that person thinks you're REALLY HOT)..etc., etc."

"Okay, so everyone's a 10. Great. So now that we've all got the warm
fuzzies about ourselves, now what do we do?"

"Hey I know! Would you have sex with the '10' Above You?"

"Yes, yes, maybe, no, I don't know, definitely not, definitely yes,"
etc., etc., etc.

"Well, it's been fun! Goodnight!"

Woo, a rant, a sheila, and shant!

Some days I have to be just silly... life carries drama, crap,
hardships... and those are the times I need to just be a kid.

Other times I have to feed my mind...

Have seen alot of the goofy threads for along time. Sometimes, yes, they
get to be too much...

I've also seen many time where folks don't do anything but debate
politics... omg boring!
