Well, if you plan on marrying a conservative Christian woman, sure.

All moral and ethical tangents aside, I would not buy a car without taking it for a test drive, so to speak.

Buyer beware!

Ah, but if you never did it before, one wouldn't know what is good or bad.

True...and in the same since, once you do get married and have that first time. It could create doubts and insecurity if it was a bad experience.

But hey man...i'm not knocking it. More power to you if you can find that perfect girl for you and make it work.

Why doubts and insecurities?

My parents were virgins when they got married. They had their 50th wedding anniversary this summer.

I'm just saying its possible. Like he said one wouldnt know what was good or bad...so if for the first time, it wasn't good, maybe you would think you were doing something wrong. And not just the fact that you just need more practice, lol.

I'm not trying to say that it wont work. Cause obviuosly in your case it did. Not hating here. Just throwing my opinion out there.

i was not abstinant until I found my new church. Since then i have realized why pre marital sex is wrong. In defense to something said earlier about good or bad. If you truly love someone you will make it work. And if you end a relationship based on bad sex you potentially could be throwing away the love of your life!

Its wrong?

Who makes up the rules?

You can believe what a church tells you or you can decide for yourself.

Its a badly thought out and outdated religious law which is too difficult for most to keep. No sex before marriage is too much. What if you are with somebody you know you will end up marrying? Am i not allowed to have sex with my future wife? There is no point to that.

lthis is a personal opinion and a newfound religious belief. I am not preaching to you and saying it is wrong for you maybe it is maybe it isn't. But it is a sin a rule made by God. No need to pounce on an opinion... It is my right to have an opinion and the gentleman wanted opinions and advice.

Its a sin rule made by....Man!

In my own opinion. I believe that the bible was written by man, and not God.

But thats just my opinion, which im entitled to have!

She's right. Now as I'm sure you can tell by my screen name I am indeed a christian. And I indeed do believe in purity. This is a discussion on the issue of abstinence. It can be taken seperately from religion too. Such as stds, emotional truama, and others.

I think that religion is the biggest decider in abstanence or pre marital sex though. None of my truly religious friends practice pre marital sex but those that are not religious or some that claim to be but are not active in a church are practicing premarital sex.

and I respect your belief but very strongly disagree with it. And the church doesn't tell me what to think.. I decided to go there on my own free will. :)
