it was working find then stoped it ticks so there is power going to it it just doesnt turn or heat...


where is the ticking comin from
ticking is cuming from the top on the control panel


oh the timer duh me haha ok well does it smell bad like a burnt motor if thats wat it is you should be able to smell it

If the timer is running, the first thing to do is check the door switch. The other possibility, is a dirty set of contacts on the motor itself.

i could but i cant look cute with no dam dryer lol so i can sit n have a drink but id rather drink while watching one of u fix my dryer.... hehe


Men just dont get it....someone needs to run right over there and be nice and fix the damn thing for her....

URGH... I hear ya sister..I have a house too, and right now my fancy european dishwasher is TAPED shut to my countertop, with an attractive BLACK electrical tape...

dash it all, I can wash the dishes, but it would be nice if the thing would stay shut!

well callin it a fuse thingy wont help lol do u have a tester if not u cant

since you have it apart.....disconnect the wire from the door switch....place a jumper in between. and hit start...if it works then its the switch ,if not eliminate something else......
whatever ya do just keep drinking!!!!!

its not turnin either so that aint it its either the door the motor or a fuse or bad connection is it gas or electric

What kind of dryer is it? Model brand? You could always go to the site of the manufacturer and look it up possibly.

I bought a washer and dryer last year and three weeks after I bought it, I would push the button and heard a clicking. I had power, but nothing happened. I called the place where I bought it and they came and looked at it and ended up replacing it with another brand new dryer. It was the motor or something.

that being said....go check your fuse panel...
if your only getting one leg of the power....its not going to run!!!!!! hence the ticking with no movement!!!!!

In reality any touching of the wires should be done with it unpluged. Or you will get a shock

No, it just stopped working and wouldn't come back on. Light would come on when I opened the door, but nothing when I pressed the button.
