So, the past month I've been hanging out and talking with this girl. She told me we were dating and were together, but not bf/gf which was fine by me. I didn't really like her until the third time we hung out which was last Thursday. I took her to the movies then we just did some stuff afterwards. The whole night we were just holding hands and kissing and other stuff only couples do and she told me she liked me and that we meant something. Last night we were talking and she told me that she doesn't like me as more than a friend and we weren't meant to be. I mean why would she lead me on like this?? I don't get why she tells me she likes me then less than a week later takes it back and tells me I'm just a friend. I feel really led on, and a little mad/upset but I guess its life.ohwell

A lot of people really have no idea what they want and/or don't want. They shift with the breeze.

I did like her, but I mean I didn't like her a lot until after then, and she didn't tell me she liked me until then. Before that we were just kinda friends, but after that she told me she really liked me. Thats where I'm confused/mad

It's possible she just got scared. Some people don't know how to deal with feelings that are not comfortable or normal for them. Or, she may have just changed her mind. ????????? sorry

Well, there was no romance until the third date.

If you want my opinion, I'd guess she did not feel a physical compatability, a sexual physical connection.

Regardless of the "bleep" your friend said to her. She'd not want to be even friends if that wre really the case.

Just need a thick skin for this thing. Lots of people are finicky. Its the nature of the chemical soup in our brains that makes us feel good one minute and not so good the next.

Just drop kick the idea of you two being together, and find a replacement chic.

bottom line, she wants to play the field, and things got in the way. when you give of yourself to certain people, and the ball's in their court, you are not as attractive to them anymore, for they like the challenge. once the challenge is gone, then so are you. the bad guys, she really likes, and tries to change them, but the open-end circle goes round and never closes.

Nooo, that is so cynical. brokenheart As a woman, I've gone out with guys two to three times because I liked them but just wasn't sure if there was a physical connection, you know where I wanted to kiss them.

And the challange part, well I pursue first usually. And I'm not coy or gamey about it. If I like a guy, I like a guy. I tell him, in no uncertain terms.

I liked Her before just not as much as after the third time we went out because it was the first time we left her room. It was the night i was definitely sure I wanted a relationship and when she told me for the first time she told me she liked me a lot. It also wasn't the first night of romance every time we've hung out we've been affectionate in a more than friendship way.
