Yesterday when I got on the highway I had no pickup --- what would I tell them to check? It is a '99 Subaru. Finding someone who won't rip you off is hard. |

They should have some kind of info. Or ask another Subaru owner where they go. Good diagnostic shop to start or dealership. |

Bet there are other foreign car shops around, ck phone book. ask for cost of diagnostics. |

Have someone check your catalytic converter or fuel filter. I had a van that lost power and it was the converter.They need replaced every so often. Mine caught on fire cause it was bad. A clogged fuel filter will also do that. Just a couple of things to check. |

Thanks for the car tips everyone. I did just have the fuel filter replaced. The thing is it dosn't do it all the time .... so I just keep hoping it will go away
 but realistically know that is not going to happen. Thanks again.
