I have noticed quite a few people, new and old asking the questions..."Where are the Real" and "Doesn't anyone really want".
Now I'm no old sage, but I have been around here for some time and I have gone tru this myself.
I can only offer what I have learned.
JustSayHi was an awesome site. Many of us go way back here, some much futher than I.
We have seen a lot of people come and go.
We have seen much change.
The few constants are:
This is a great site, and its free(keep that in mind)
There are a LOT of people here. Thus attention is at a Bounty.
With sooo much attention it is very hard for people to focus long on one person.
Good things DO NOT happen over night.
Take your time, get to know people in the forums
have fun, be funny, be serious......

And let people see who you really are.

He or she might just come out of ....nowhere.

Dont judge people for a short attention span,
they are being bombarded with interest in the beginning.
There are some really great people here and I for one am glad to have gotten to know a few of them.
Have I found the one I'm looking for....NO
But I'm having soooo much fun.

JMO for what its worth.

Well thats partly true. Im sure there will ALWAYS be those that insist on creating the "why is everyone an ass" threads. When people do that, it's more often than not done in the heat of the moment. They were just rejected by private message so before having a chance to cool down and think it over when cooler heads prevail, they immediately decide to vent by creating a hostile thread in the hopes that the person who rejected them reads it and feels bad.

IMHO... The people who come here and want to find someone RIGHT away and b*tch and complain about the "others" won't change until someone gives them a reason to change, and if they b*tch and complain no one will want to give them a chance except the "others" who are in the same demented and disallusioned proverbial boat. It's a vicious cycle.

What JSH/Mingle has afforded me...

A wonderful friend who I can laugh with, cry with, and b*tch with in Lillith. We have the ability to give each other reality checks, and I have learned alot about others and myself from her friendship, that is priceless to me.

I met a man who traveled a million miles just to meet me. Because of his citizenship I don't know what our future holds, but he is a wonderful man who in the least will be a part of my life in Talldub (Andy)

I have the ability to come here after a long day at work, or after an explosion with my ex and can vent or laugh or whatever I need to get over it.

When you lose your keys and you suddenly find them laying on the table and you feel dumb because you have looked directly at them over and over but you are searching so hard for them that you just can't see them. THAT is what I feel this site provides.

I also think that the same people who complain because they dont find their soul mate within a week of joining this site and feel the need to create threads about it, generally are that personality type, and when they dont receive instant gratification in ANY facet of their life, they b!tch and moan.

I guess I was just lucky. I talked to many different people. I met 2 great guys that I am still friends with and a guy that I've fallen in love with and hope to have a future with. Yea, there were a few oddities along the way, but I have to say that my experience was very positive with the site. You just have to be open & get to know people without the expectation that this is your potential soulmate.
