Yeap I like em...
Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares Whose Line is It (British and American versions) Are You Being Served BBC America news (some of it) I'm starting to get fed up with BBC's British nose in the air programming tho. I'm currently watching Kitchen Nightmares where Gordon comes to America to do another of his kitchen visit themes. However it seems he is determined to make it look like all the restaurants in America are ****holes and that he is the saviour of the food world. I watched Top Gear up until they did a special on the Ford F-150 and the host called all American's inbred. **** him. |

I watch "Top Gear" pretty regularly. It's a pretty good show, as they get to really beat the crap out of expensive Euro-Trash supercars from time to time.
I DO find Jeremy Clarkson rather punch-in-the-face worthy, though. This goes especially for his anti-American stuff (as was said earlier)- he's called "Bloody Yanks" a number of things over the years, from "inbred" to "six-hundred pounders" (meaning we're all morbidly obese), to a number of other things. And he's flapped his gums often showing his rotten, British teeth, too. And while I DO agree with his poor opinions about American cars (he's often quite literally said that we "Can't make good cars"), he HASN'T qualified his statements with the fact that very few "American" cars are actually made in America (gasp!)- - A great majority of cars made by General Motors (Chevy, Pontiac, et al) are actually made in Hermosillo, Mexico. This would include most of their family car lines (SUVs, mini-vans), as well as their trucks and vans. In fact, they relocated their test facility from Flynt, Michigan to Hermosillo within the last decade or so. Only their high-end, specialty vehicles (Corvette, etc.) are still made in the U.S. (Kentucky for the chassis, Detroit for engines and drivetrain). - Chrysler Corporation makes even MORE of their products in Mexico as well, but in Saltillo. Only the soon-to-be discontinued Viper is still made in the U.S., or at last I've heard, that is. - Ford's spent the last decade-and-a-half relocating their facilities to Saltillo, Mexico. Unlike the previous two auto makers, they've still got a facility in Minnesota and a couple of other states, as well as some facilities in Windsor-Ontario, Canada- but chances are that even those plants will be relocated in the future, too. So there's pretty much next-to-nothing "American" about American cars, other than the fact that the dern things are designed in the U.S. |

Blackadder and Fawlty Towers are two of my faves.
However it seems he is determined to make it look like all the restaurants in America are ****holes and that he is the saviour of the food world. I watched Top Gear up until they did a special on the Ford F-150 and the host called all American's inbred. **** him. Wow, you're sensitive! Is this a bad time of the month for you? Like no American has every said anything bad about the Brits? |

Being British I am very patriotic, as are my American friends of their country.
We all stand by our particular nation. I find that many American shows are shown on British TV and I guess some of the Brtitish programmes make it over there also. I myself like any decent comedy. I also believe that US programmes are interuppted more by commercial breaks. I don't know if the US has any channels which are 'non commercial' The BBC is the only corporation I can think of which is not sponsered by ads. The commercals, which are shown on British tv are sometimes more entertaining than some of the programmes. |

No one has even touched Monty Python's Flying Circus. Now that is some good TV.

I watch Are You Being Served most every weeknite. I rented the movie from Netflix but I didnt like the movie so much.
I resist change so I didnt watch much of Torchwood or of the new one Sanctuary. I like some of Robin Hood but the whole long drawn out story line made it boring after a few episodes. Was Benny Hill a british production? |
