These threads remind me of soup kitchens....

The impoverished after a time decide that they are ENTITLED to a free lunch...they are the experts on the meal, and are quite indignant if the menu changes, or the cabbage is missing one day....

The sense of ownership and the self importance attached to the proprietous thinking is the same.... and you all want this free lunch... for doing nothing... well, actually, doing something...staying impoverished... and condemning others that point out that fact, or who may want, or are perceived to want, to muscle in on the free lunch or even (thread space).

Sadly those that spend their time greedily claiming to know all about anything are so delusional, that the very spirit of the original prophets of all religion is lost...

ohwell

And some wonder why the US is on it's knees right now...

the US is on it's knee's right now because of selfishness!! which puts forth the facects of selfishness as greed and self-centeredness.

I am sorry my friend but I will have to disagree with you on that. Native Americans are not selfish and they are the true Americans. They are not self centered either at least the ones I met

Smiles....

No smiles never....there are not contradiction, just misunderstanding of what your reading. There are Open Bible study bibles or others that make it clear and take out all the thou and thy and make it simple. And then there are some like mine that also give you other things to understand it. All of it is important for then and for now. Now granted in the Old Testament there are a myriad of things that even for me made me go what the heck. But it didn't stop me and I say, "Oh no way this is bunk how cruel". What it did is make me want more, I studied with many different religions before I became a Christian. Even the story of how I was saved is pretty remarkable. Filled with miracles and God showing me without question of his exsistance. Now I know for many that is not the case. But what I try and get people to understand is I was ready, my heart was open, my eyes were open and it made it more clear and more clear the more I delved into the word of God. (bible)

You again smiles can't say what if...the bible had all peaceful answers life would be a bowl full of cherries. God just doesn't work like that. He is not going to lie and sugarcoat what happen to the people who first encountered God. Imagine if that was history...I wouldn't want them to sugarcoat what Hitler did because that to is my history....half my family was killed and the others were taken as the "perfect race".

And that is a great example if you believe in Christ you will have salvation. But to again sugarcoat it and say ok people live as you want, do what you want, and well you just won't be saved. Instead of saying exactly what would happen would then make me a hypocrite Christian. I don't tell anyone what to do....I put it out there what you do with it is entirely up to you...God gave us free will for this very purpose. He doesn't want it to be forced, he wants you to come to him of your own accord.

Another example of Christ's love for us. People wanted to stone Mary Magdalene after all she was a sinner, she was a whore and in those days they were stoned. But Christ took Mary and said those without sin cast the first stone. What does that mean to you Smiles?

The laws of 2000 years ago do not have bearing except to understand the who's what and why's of it.

Smiless,

Native Americans also occupy a fairly small minority of the population here in the states. Im sure you are aware of that since you visit reservations on occasion.

Oh yes but what I was saying is that the US - Americans is labeled as self centered, greedy, etc. etc.

I say fine so be it - but my Native Indian friends are not this even if they live on this continent before it was ever called United States.

again krisma for the millionth time.....I take from notes and I write from me.....or from scripture but put into now times. Tell me one thing I have not answered and I will surly do it......and if you even put about stoning...I have answered and I will not do so again....or about the injustice to women...because again I have answered over and over again..

Ahhhhhhh ha you are right and you are wrong...I would do exactly what God asked of me...but because of my FAITH God will ALWAYS BLESS me and never ever forsake me....so see once again you misunderstand and jump to conclusions. And like you Krisma I go and just answer the questions......not as you may like but nonetheless I answer them.

You always have the same stuff that you want to fight about.

I am better aware of what I have posted than you and I have NEVER brought this topic up before as it relates to Jesus. I keep track of everything I have discussed. I also do not fight. You are upset about this and so internalize it personally and choose to fight with me. To quote you Deb, "it is what it is."

I have answered always every question you have put forth.

That is not true. There have been many topics, this one included, where all you do is copy and paste a bunch of non-related crap. If you do that, I will continue to ask others for answers. It is not limited to you nor do I single you out.

I think you would murder your own child Deb and that is a horrifying thing to contemplate.

Yes I agree. At least historically Native Americans have been far less destructive to the lands they have occupied although they are human. Some tribes would compete amongst one another for resources and cause problems and become quite wasteful. That has been recorded by anthropologists as occurring but it is nothing remotely close to the wide scale havoc the whites are responsible for and continue to cause for the environemnet.

Crap.

You are instructed to build an alter to your god, and murder your youngest child to show your faith, and now you pull the 'saved in the nick of time by my faith card?'

What a pathetic piece of hogwash designed to imagine one is superior to another...

You're blatantly showing yourself there lady, and it ain't Krimsa who is the one who is misdirecting...

You say: But Christ took Mary and said those without sin cast the first stone. What does that mean to you Smiles?

That means Jesus is saying that we are all sinners even those who believe they are not? Right? Concerning Mary that is.

You say: You again smiles can't say what if...the bible had all peaceful answers life would be a bowl full of cherries. God just doesn't work like that.

Why doesn't God work like this? Couldn't he do anything he wants? He could make it work like that if he wanted to right? If no then why? I always wanted to see the creator to be someone who can create peaceful creations.

You say: Now granted in the Old Testament there are a myriad of things that even for me made me go what the heck.

Yes I see that in the new testament even, but perhaps you are right I just don't understand its meanings. I want to envision sugar coating because I want to believe that a passionate God exists. I guess I am wrong about that.

I don't know, I do try to understand it, but find difficulty agreeing with the scriptures. I just can't follow its logic and I tried.

It is like if you see a group of people doing something wrong and the majority do it also to make the majority the same way and then they turn to look at you and say are you coming?

If you don't go along then you are criticized or become the next victim or left alone as a hermit.

I mean if you see that if a religion is practicing in the wrong way wouldn't you not want to join it.

Yes there have been some power hungry tribes before. Just watch the movie from Mel Gibson Acopolyt(spelled wrong) if you haven't watched it already.

but there have been tribes who really only use what is needed to survive the various seasons and live off the lands without being power hungry. I tilt my head to them and say thank you for being a good role model.

Deb, it does not matter in the slightest where you obtain this information. If it was helpful or addressed the various topics, then there would be no problem.

However, what you do repeatedly is post HUGE extended exegesis and you dont even have the courtesy to break it up into paragraphs (because its copied an pasted) and you expect people to read that stuff and find precisely where the issue is addressed. That is not going to happen

If you have actually read these sources then you should be familiar with them and more than capable of reading, digesting the information, and then SUMMARIZING in your own words.
