“The Person Within”

As you go about each day.
Don’t forget it is up to you to portray.
The person you are deep within.
For you see it is not a sin.

To be the person you want to be.
Stand tall and let others see.
The way you really are.
It does not matter if you’re a bit bizarre.

You see we are all unique in our own way.
Some may think we are molded from the same clay.
But in reality we have all been given our own twist.
And have different reasons why we exist.

You see we all have a reason to be here.
And we should live our lives without fear.
Do the things that you have always dreamed of.
Put your heart into it and make it a labor of love.

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you do not matter.
For the things you do is a part of your character.
Whether it’s a look or a jester or something you do or say.
This is how you are able to portray.

And let others know the real you.
At times there will be those you will run into.
That will try to change you into what they want.
And hold things over your head so they can flaunt.

What they know to make you give in.
To make it seem you’ve done something that was a mortal sin.
No matter what they try to do or say to make you doubt.
Just remember this is your life to live out.

Don’t let anyone take it away.
Or lead you astray.
Grab the farthest star.
And never forget each day who you are!!
