Lookin’ By bobby7 I’ve been searchin’ left and right, reading’ profiles through the night I didn’t stop until the crack of dawn. There’s some lovely ladies here, but not for me, I fear And I think I may have waited just too long. There are gals, I will admit, who can crank it up a bit With jokes and smiles that make me want to laugh This ain’t no field of clover, my life is halfway over I want to find a gal to share the other half I’m not lookin’ for a quickie, and I’m really not that picky I just want a gal who has a lot of class I’m a classy guy myself, just sittin’ on the shelf I’d be a real good partner to some lass. So if you still are lookin’, an’ if you like home cookin’, You just might want to look at my profile I’m revved up, but not frantic. and I am a real romantic And I like to start my day off with a smile. I’m kinda new at this, but I’d love a hug and kiss From a gal that makes my heart skip a beat. Cause, if she feels like me; What a couple we could be! And I’m tired of livin’ here, on Lonely Street… |

I wrote this a couple of weeks after my Bobby and I met, when I was
still a little unsure of us. All I knew was that it felt right. Now I know it is, and I'm glad I opened my heart up to it. Love is worth the risk. I Open My Heart My world is sane now But for how long Can I keep the treasure I've found Without making it wrong As long as I keep My feet on the ground Do you think my head Can stay in the clouds My heart has held Only me for so long Can I make room for more One more life, one more song I open my heart And I let you come in Hoping you know that where you are No one has ever been |

The Day Is Fast Approaching
by: Bobby7 The day is fast approaching, an important place in time. 'T'was three years ago this April, that you said you would be mine. For months before, I questioned love, and doubts ran through my head. And then, one fine December day, you told me we could wed. You made all my dreams come true, when we married in our home. From then, until the day we die, we'll never be alone. It seemed I waited all my life, for someone just like you. And the instant that I saw your face, my waiting days were through. Because you are, without a doubt, an angel in disguise, With your silken skin, your flowing hair, and gorgeous sky blue eyes. We were meant to be together, there's no doubt in my mind. And, were I to search the world, a girl like you, I'd never find. (Or, until drugs come knocking) |

Thank you for sharing your beautiful poetry bobby, it truly touches and
moves me. I think you know that I am a very sensitive and passionate woman. The one about Love, true love, was the one that moved me this time. I have a lot of admiration and respect for you and your ability to express your self, your knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and your character, in poetry. |

Just Say Hi..
By Bobby7 One day while surfing on the 'net', something different caught my eye And I found myself on a dating site which the folks called, "Just Say Hi, So, I did, and I am glad, cause on this site I found, Some really friendly people: Yes, There are still some around. I met up with some old friends too, who found this awesome place And I my heart was filled with happiness, with each familiar friendly face. I found the one who's right for me while surfing on the 'net' If it hadn't been for dating sites, I know we never would have met. I watched other loves grow blossoms here, and I saw some new loves bloom For months, I've watched the miracles that have happened in this room. There are those of you who don't believe that love will be found here I can tell you that it happens, And, I want to make it clear Love is all around you, and, it will find you, by and by And I know that love is hanging 'round the site called Just Say Hi So don't give up! I almost did, and I'm so glad I stayed My God gave me the miracle, the love, for which I prayed. |

These Men by Bobby7 I just spent an hour inside a room that was filled with men like me. If pain had colour; in that room, there's a rainbow you could see. The stories of these tortured souls could fill a hundred shelves. But the plot's the same, for just like me, they're all searching for themselves. Alcohol controls our minds, and tears apart our lives. It takes from us, all we hold dear, friends, families, cherished wives. It devours, with impunity, our health and souls; this cursed; Alcohol... And no matter where you are in life, it, too, can make you fall. So, here we are, at our last stand, we wish to banish alcohol. We want our lives back, as they were, before booze made us fall. It can be done! We've seen the proof, at each meeting we attend. And we really can reclaim our lives, if we just listen to these men. They paid their dues, and suffered pain, the pain we all feel now. And, if we really wish to free ourselves, these men can show us how. Perhaps we needn't walk the miles these alcoholics trod. If, we but listen to their message, and trust our lives to God. |

We Shall Survive
For; Tammy Des Shanes In days of old, when spells were cast. That's when I met you; In the past. Down valleys green, over misty hills, Your spirit soars, it always will. When monarchs ruled, and dragons roared, The knights set forth with shield and sword. They gave their lives to keep us free, And save the world for you and me. Gaze into your crystal ball, And you'll see armies rise and fall. You can witness worlds collide, Or surf the never ending tide. Though you've passed on, you're with me yet. A love like yours, I can't forget. I loved you then, and I still do. And every day, I dream of you. We'll meet again, dear, you and I. Perhaps not under earth's blue sky. But no matter where or when, I'll love you still, as I did then. As long as love remains alive... You and I, my love...
