Here, Gryphyn..This one's for you..It is a funny take on
a serious subject: Writers' Block.. Hope you enjoy it..It was a blast to write! ________________________________________________________________ Writers’ Block By Bobby7 I can hear my heart strings hummin', I sense better times a comin’, I've found a way to crack my mental block! I gassed up both of my gennys, Went out and bought a bunch of ‘Bennies’... ‘Cause it could be, I'll be writing 'round the clock! When I get stuck, or worse, if I evoke the writer's curse, And the screen on my computer just stays blank Then I can sit, hour on hour, doin’ all within my power, To find those damned words hidin' in my tank. So, I'll pass this on to you, and no matter what do, Try it out, and if you don’t. then; Don’t you knock it ! 'Stead of sittin’ here all night, I simply shock my self to write.. I stick my finger in the handiest wall socket. Though I anticipate some smirks, I can assure you that it works For, I've tried it six or seven times before. I can feel my essence growin', and the words just start a flowin' When I finally pick myself up off the floor. |

To the JSH Poets
By Bobby7 I had to take some time off, I had lots of work to do But I really hope that no one thought that I’d forgotten you I wish I could have been here, and never missed a page But legal things just cannot wait; it’s like living in a cage I hope you poets here all know how much this means to me These poems are part of history, as far as poets’ eyes can see Poets came, and poets left, but you, my friends, have stayed And every nuance and emotion; every gambit you have played Your poems have let me share a laugh, and some made me cry And I, now, know countless colours. to describe a summer sky You’ve written epics that we shared; you took us back in time What I find best, I must confess..Are the poems that really rhyme. I’d humbly like to let you know, I appreciate your writes And when I’ve finished my day’s work, you liven up my nights And so it is with happy heart, that I pick up my 'Poet's Pen' Your poems have give my such joy!..Now! Let the rhymes begin! |

In Dreams
By Bobby7 This may sound a little funny; but I’m bettin’ all my money That dreams we have will often times, come true. And when things are going bad, and life throws curves to make us sad We can drive up to the dream bank; me, and you. I may be stickin’ out my neck, but I’m writing you this check So the next nice dream you have, will be on me. For you’ve helped me smile again, and you’ve eased a lot of pain Taken blinders from my eyes, and let me see.. People rush around so fast; the right questions never asked, No wonder that we see such misery. If we just keep our couth, play fair and tell the truth A happy world is there for all to see. So come, and take my hand, and we’ll dance to that ‘big band’ The way we did, so many years ago. We’ll love each other with our eyes; it will come as no surprise. For, we just have to dream, to make it so. We’re dreaming the same dreams, and, so my dear, it seems That we are sharing common goals, within our lives. It is such a noble goal; it’s the same for young and old To dream of loving husbands, cherished wives. So, come and dream with me, and, together we can see All the dreams that we have ever dreamt come true. It’s a leap of faith we take, but, perhaps, when I awake The angel, there beside me; Will be you.. |

A Poets Life
A poet's heart’s more fragile, His/her train of thought’s more agile That anyone’s ,who doesn't write at all. A poets thoughts keep rambling A poet just keeps on gambling That he’ll write a poem worth posting on the wall A poet can spend days And try a hundred ways To write a poem that touches every heart The difference is; You see Between the average Joe and me Is that a poet puts the horse behind the cart. |

Adventures in Parenting
by Bobby7 The pain we all felt growing up, was such a heavy load With any luck, we had someone to ease us down the road But now and then, I don't know why, some parents just don’t care And make their children’s' burdens much more difficult to bear. Some love and understanding is all we can provide It's sad, that there are those who don't carry this inside. And though a child may reach its’ goal, with just a Mom, or just a Dad It makes their journey onward, simply, terribly, more sad. They need their dads' approval, it makes them feel much more mature And they need their mother's blessing; it helps them be much more secure. Why one parent 'shuts' them out; I cannot understand A parent's major role in life is to lend their 'kids' a hand. I'm not talking giving money here! Well, maybe; The odd time. I'm speaking of a guiding hand, 'cause that's the very bottom line Any parent, Mom or Dad who doesn't give their kids a boost Deserves the sorrow that they reap. When the ‘birds’ come back to roost. Sometimes we do not agree about the roads our children choose That’s when they need our help the most, to be shown what they can lose. And when they set out on a course, and they must either sink or swim Knowing that their folks are there means all the world to her or him. |

Asphalt Trials
By Bobby7 The many paths that I have trod are written on this page The ones that led to happiness, the ones to drunken rage The many roads that you can take care not who walks their miles It's all the same to Asphalt Trails, be it bitter tears or smiles. However, you can change the views along all these lost highways And insert a blue and sunny sky on bleak and cloudy days. And you can change your frame of mind and see your anger pale You control your destiny when you walk the Asphalt Trail. My walk to me to places that I'd never been before, And to many things I'd never seen from east to western shore. The Trail led me to prison where my soul began to die For I had to hurt and maim and wound just simply to get by. The days and nights inside that cell took an awful toll on me, And I could hardly wait to walk that Trail the day they set me free. Then the trails lead to the lights of town, straight to the local bars. Where it seemed to me the women were much faster than their cars. And as I walked the Asphalt Trail, I pondered in my mind" Is there a way to stop my walk, and leave this Trail behind?" Then, I walked by a country church, and heard the church bell ring I, then heard the answer, and my heart began to sing Mistake were made along those Trails, and there's a price to pay But I took it to my Maker, and my debt is clear today. So now I walk a different Trail, which leads to peace of mind And my Maker walks this trail with me, so merciful and kind. |

Born To Lose..
by Bobby7 Born to lose, I’ve lost your love, it seems Yet, every night, your face is there in dreams When I awake, I know that it is true I’m born to lose, and I know that I’ve lost you Born to lose, my mind can’t comprehend That I no longer have you as a friend You were all the happiness I knew Born to lose, and now I'm losing you Born to lose, tell me why should I go on When everything that I held dear is gone? I don’t think that life is worth this pain Born to lose, and I have lost again Born to lose, there’s nothing I can do That will ease the pain of losing you.. I think it best that I just end it all Born to lose..I hear deep waters call |

Cherie - Lover
by bobby7 I have you tell you, lover, that you're a huge surprise, You're like some little Angel, that just tumbled from the skies. What's happening between us, has come on oh, so fast. Believe me when I tell you love, I pray that it will last. The memory of you lying beside me in our bed, Is something that I cherish, it echoes through my head. Your lovely face, your silken skin, your eyes so blue and wide, Are things that I could not forget, not even if I tried. I don't know what the future holds, it's not for me to see, But I hope that in your future, you'll find a place for me. I love being with you girl, and we have so much fun, Especially in the morning, when we greet the rising sun. You're charming, and so witty, with a heart so soft and warm, And I promise you, my darling, that I'll let no one do you harm. No matter what the future holds, I've enjoyed these precious days. Perhaps our love may never bloom, but I'll bet our friendship stays. And now you know, sweet Angel, the way I really feel, I can't turn off these emotions, they're too powerful and real. I know that this is sudden, but I didn't plan one single thing, My heart reaches out to tell you, that you make my spirit sing. I feel your soft and dainty hands, I breathe your flowing hair, But much more than this, you bring me bliss... -It's No Wonder That I Care- |

The Peaceful Place
By Bobby7 I sit here in this forest glade, in quiet solitude These shadows all around me, reflect my somber mood The brook that babbles on its way, a few paces down the path Is singing me a sweet refrain. I feel it wash away my wrath. I’ve brought my faithful friend along, She; of the silver strings In her music, I can dream, and think of peaceful things I think that I will sleep tonight, my world lit by yonder star As I fall asleep, I hear a train; its whistle echoes from afar I’ve a tiny fire going, for all day I gathered wood Though I return tomorrow, I’d wish to stay here if I could I awake just briefly, and put on a few small logs And fall asleep accompanied by some softly croaking frogs. I brought some poems with me, and I’ll read some when I wake I wish I’d brought the poets, too, but they were all that I could take. I miss the friends and all their works; I miss Lady, JD, too I miss Om, and Drea, and Pickles, and all the poets, old and new But I’ll share this spot with Lady, if you should ever feel the need For this lovely, green and, vibrant place, has calmed my soul, indeed. And, there were times, within your poems, where I sensed you were in pain The next time that I am hurting, I’ll be back here again So here are the directions, and when memories start to stalk You can’t get lost, not with this map;..If your heart needs the walk You’ll find the place refreshing, even if just for a night But hurry back tomorrow, and tell me if I’m right. |

~ Bibby Bobby’s Poetry ~
~~~ Bibby Bobby’s poetry is written to bestow on thee a happy heart and smiling face rhapsody in all its grace If he writes it they will cum to erotically become undone beguiled by lyrics from his mind readers ease as they unwind His loquacious fingers type the words that soar through space like cyber birds bringing thoughts to peering eyes that spark emotions causing sighs Bibby Bobby’s verses will exorcise the curses of the evil troll that plagues your soul and be sure that it disperses His poetry will free you from the drudgery of life and also set you free from unnecessary strife Tis the reason why he writes it to share the freedom of his soul to convey the very thoughts he hopes that you’ll extol Thoughts of love or ecstasy or of the beauty of a day thoughts of birds or sunshine or of emotions on display Written words conveying thoughts what a concept of the mind we’re lucky we can do this so our minds can be combined Thank you Bibby Bobby for sharing all your thoughts with rhapsodic rhyming eloquence and your clever witty plots ~~~ (Abra 4/17/07) |
