Makes me wonder if people had to mail instead of email, maybe they'd put forth more effort in what is written.
I'm tired of the Hi emails - nothing more nothing less just Hi. I just reply in kind |

You all might hate me then because I talk A LOT so you'd have to actually start reading the emails :O

I get what people are saying about preferences and boundries.
On a date site a simple "Hi" is just a nice way of saying you caught my eye look back and see if you like my profile or you think we have anything in common. It isn't agressive or pushy and acknowledges the fact that a lot of people are not going to match so why write a disertation? And some people are slower to warm up to strangers. I think standing on a demand for perfect grammer and punctuation is ok if you recognize you are probably passing up a lot of people who are extreamly smart and genuinely nice but might think fast but struggle to type. Not a skill everyone has. Not everyone is really at home with computers and all the features either. I am currently talking to someone who is very busy, but still very nice, highly educated, and extreamly considerate but our inital contacts were very subtle and not great masterpieces of writing. The friendship has grown and so have the depth of the conversations. I am quite certain if it was a formal business presentation rather than an intimate conversations that the grammer and spelling ect. would be meticulous. If the goal is to connect with someone and build bridges to a relationship maybe less focus on the forgetable errors and feeling the message might bring you closer to the heart you want. |

The hi emails wouldn't be so bad if they would follow up with something of a little more substance. |
