No matter how it's been served to me, I just can't groove on venison. No matter how anyone says they can process it or cook it or season it, still has a gamey taste to me. Enjoy!!! Hope you are having a good day!!!waving waving waving

I love venison! Grew up with a brother and a dad that hunted. But sadly, haven't had any in a long time. Ex hubby had guns, bought a license every year, but was afraid to get his guns scratched so he never went hunting. Duh!

my bosses husband is a hunter. he talks of venison as if it were freakin buried treasure.

i've never had it and i've eaten some strange meats in my day.

It is a treasure, just because I know it is going to be about a year before I get to taste that goodness again.

My ex g/f said that the very thin membrane that attaches the fat to the meat is the biggest cause of the gamey taste.

She stripped down a hindquarter that I had and there was no gamey taste to it at all when she cooked it up.
