Girls Got Rhythm – AC/DC
(feralcatlady.....)

I’ve been around the world
I’ve seen a million girls
Ain’t one of them god
Well my lady she’s god
She stealin' the spotlight
Knocks me off my feet
She’s enough to start a landslide
Just a walkin' down the street
Wearing dresses to tight
And looking dynamite
Enough to blow me around
No doubt about it can’t live without it

Chorus:
The girls got rhythm
The girls got rhythm
She’s got the backseat rhythm
The girls got rhythm (aww)

She’s like a lethal brand
Too much for any man
She gives me first degree
She really satisfies me
Love me till I’m lifeless
Aching and sore
Enough to stop a freight train
Or start the third world war
You know I’m losing sleep
But I’m in too deep
Every body needs love
No doubt about it can’t live without it

Chorus

You know she moves like sin
And when she lets me in
Its like liquid love
No doubt about it can’t live without it

Chorus

You know she really got the rhythm
She’s got the backseat rhythm
Rock n roll rhythm
The girls got rhythm

****************************

oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

To get my dream sound took a lot of years and a lot of gear. And a lot of money. Always been a marshall man. Owned everything from twin 800s to marshall majors. To get my sound I had to have the right guitar. I've always been amored with gibson flying vs. Owned many of them. I had a slime green one I sold to lenny kravitz. Had a white swampash 83 that I sold to rudy schenker. He sold me a black one. I was playing my les paul with a floyd rose and out of phase switching like jimmy pages for a few years and was looking for another flying v. It came to me on easter sunday 1998 as I was buying strings at a guitar center. An elderly gentleman came into the store with that unique shaped guitar case. I walked over and struck up conversation. He opened up the case and it was an old korina gibson flying v. Said he wanted to sell it and his fingers don't work like they used to and that he just wanted it to go to a good home. I told him I always wanted an old korina wood flying v but could never afford one. I asked him how much he wanted for it knowing it was at the time a $20,000 collectors piece. He said "How much you give me for it?". I told him "Its easter sunday and the banks are closed. All I have in my pocket right now is a thousand bucks. I can give you that and more when the banks open". He says "I will sell it to you for a thousand dollars". I almost broke my arm handing him the cash but completely dumbfounded at the same time. The old man looked at my confused look and once again said "I just want it to have a good home". I said "I promise you it will have a good home". Found out it was one of the last 1958 flying vs made. Been appraised twice. 3rd rarest guitar in the world for collectors. It f*cking screams like no other guitar I've ever owned. I've had ridiculous offers to buy it. I was at the eric clapton auction for charity and was offered 3 of claptons guitars including his mint 61 gibson walnut sg in trade and refused. I'm going to keep my promise to that old man and give that guitar a good home. As an addendum my grandfather passed away 2 years ago. He played lap steel. He left me his 1958 gibson lap steel and a collection of slides. I miss him.

Then comes the amplifiers. I've owned them all from bassmans to sun to ampeg to silverface fenders to boutique kittyhawks, soldanos, line6, crate, bedrocks, boogies dual recs, everything. And I keep going back to marshalls. Remember I want to have that early concrete mixer through a brick wall sound. To get it I played through all those above mentioned amps. Then one day a marshall holy grail 50 watt head came up for sale. My jackson shannon screamed through it and I bought it. Wasn't too long after a marshall slx 100 watt slash from guns and roses head came up for sale. I bought it. Its so over the top. Its louder than a marshall major. I can only use it outdoors for big venues with glass partitions in front of the cabs so I don't pop everyones eardrums in the first 4 rows. I have leased/ borrowed it to a few rockstar freinds for outdoor gigs. Its a sledgehammer. Gotta use 2 412s with 300 watt celestions in stereo just to get it to "sing". Then a few years ago I bought a marshall bluesbreaker from billy gibbons. He had a black one and a tan face. I got the tan face and johnny T bone from austin city limits got the black one. Incredible amps. Never need effects. Just barely turn the knobs and you've got a completely different tone. And its got lots of headroom for such little wattage. A screamer. Then I needed a clean amp. The cleanest clearest amp out there is a roland jazz chorus 130 twin. The tones are remarkable. Spotless spot on transparency. Well I'm not the only one searching. The vintage market swallowed all those jazz chorus amps up. The only ones you could find were in less than desirable condition. Let's call a spade a spade- they were trashed junk. Well one day johnny t bone called me saying he wanted to borrow my polytone for stage use because he got hired to play bass for bo diddley and my polytone is a pants creamer for that type of blues show. So I borrowed it. Johnny came back and said "F*ck you- I love that amp. Sell it to me!" So I did. But we got to talking about amps and I told him of my quest to find a mint jazz chorus. Johnny said "Sh!t man, I will sell you mine!" So I got a mint jazz chorus that's been slightly hotrodded by tim caswell and mike soldano. Cleanest amp I own. So that's my rig. Two marshall stacks, a marshall bluesbreaker, a roland jazz chorus, and no effects. With my rig- I don't need them. I rock. And I f*cking rock LOUD!!!

But for studio work I gotta have microphones. And I have a nice collection. From akai, to neumann, to sure, to audix. I got a couple of tube mics I prefer and I have a whole rack full of preamps from neve to presonus to DBX. My favorite setup to mic my monster rig at full throttle is what randy rhoads used on his jcm 800 marshalls. He had an old shure rackmounted preamp in stereo and the matching unnumbered cardioid stereo mics.from sure. I found the preamp at a music store. I bought the stereo mics from a collector. One is gold one is green. Look like sure sm 57s. With my holy grail marshall with the gain turned to 8, bass at 8, mids at 2, treble at 9, and volume at 11 I'm getting that sound and those mics are capturing it nicely. Just f*cking screaming guitar on fire tone.

anybody got a link to a free MP3 web hosting site we could use to share some of our music here?

I have a bah-zillion backing tracks, too... could record your own thing over the backing track and post it here, or whatever... I think I have like 300 backing tracks I could post here if I knew of a free web hosting place

Here's the site I use:

But keep in mind all this tone came at an incredible cost financially. I've got other gear that's fun to play with. I have an ADA tube processor that has complete programmable parameters. Spend all day talking to a computer telling it what to do, creating your tone, then naming it. I have 52 programs in there and some have some funny names. Names like "Hate crime" (all mids scooped ala coal chamber) or "Marge florus" (van halen chorus and delay), or "kyles f*cking JCM" (I had a JCM marshall that had high plate voltage and was really loud- we emulated it into a program), or "Basssssss" (flat out bass response- all bottom end). We've had fun making our own guitar programs.
