three years ago after my graduation,me and my famliy went to my grandparents place for a couple of days, the second night i slepted in a different room cause i couldnt stand my brothers snoring.I fell asleep and woke up around 3 in the morning and i turn over and see a dark shadowy figure standing right over my bed,i froze for a few seconds and then i just got up and dove for the light,i turned around and there was nothing there.

Don't be freaked out!

When you go to bed, imagine the brightest light you can think of surrounding you... and maginifed by a whole bunch of mirrors! This light is pure and clean and innocent with this light nothing bad can penatrated it. I hope this helps.

Or a night light might help!

I saw a light appear on my wall when I was 7. It was the middle of the night and completely dark. I could stand in front of it and wave my arms around and there was no shadow so I know the light was coming from the wall. Strangely it did not scare me.

The second strange occurrence was waiting in line to sit in a stand to see a show at a park. It was 3 days before my 11th birthday and I was with my parents. I said I did not want to sit in this stand as I knew it was going to collapse. I had a very strong feeling about it. After 15 minutes of complaining to my parents we went and stood in line for the other stand. The stand we were originally going to sit on collapsed mid way through the show.

I have also had a couple of out of body experiences about two years ago. One time I was seriously depressed, thinking about death and I realized that I was staring at the back of my head; I could see myself sitting on the couch. As soon as I realized this I went whoosh right back into my head. The next time was a few months later. I was driving home down I40 and was suddenly up in the air and could see for miles ahead of me. All I could hear was wind, no car noise. I had a feeling of elation for about a minute and was then back in the car.

In retrospect the last experience was very very scary. And before anyone asks, no it wasn't drugs.

less than a month ago, I saw a ghost. A male figure from out of the corner of my eye until I completely turned my head from where I am sitting now. Scared the crap out of me for about 15 minutes.

wow!! did you get a good look since you said male?

can you describe him?

ah he was short... maybe under 5'... couldn't tell features... but what striked me was that the lower half of his skin was gone and was down to bone in a diagonal. Granted this was a ghost, I was freaked out, but I don't feel freaked out now. I was just mainly felt surprised, not really scared or sensed anything bad.

but what striked me was that the lower half of his skin was gone and was down to bone in a diagonal.

im not sure what you mean here????

like from almost under one eye... on a diagonal.... across the teeth (all exposed) down to the opposite side of the face no skin only bone. I hope that makes sense.

ahhh ok thnx

I was lying in bed. I heard a sound inside my head which I can only describe as being like an enormous electric motor starting up. It began as a low pitched whine and increased in frequency until it went above audible range. At that point, I knew I was not "attached" to my body anymore. I sat up and swung my feet around to the right side of the bed and sat there on the bed with my feet on the floor for a couple seconds (Note: The bed was up flush against the wall on the right hand side.) Then I began to float upward. When I stoppoed rising, I was prone on my back. I though to myself "I can't see anything". So I made motions with my hands as if I were floating face up in water and wanted to turn over, which I did. At that point I was facing downward and looking at my body lying on the bed. It's eyes were open wide. At that point, I started floating down towards the body and rotating. As I reached the point where I was in the same location as my body and facing upward, my body inhaled, and I was once more "attached" to it.

that is incredible sky, i have not had an OB, the closet i came is when i was 12-13 and i had read a book of my grandma's and it had this 4" white pyramid printed on the page it was white surrounded by blue and it faded darker as it went away from the pyramid, you were supposed to stare at it and clear your mind and think about astral travel - leaving your body and travelling all over. well after about 10 min or so i felt this litning of myself as if i were about to leave my body - but it scared me so much i quickly opened my eyes and started shaking and put the book away and never tried it again, i felt as if i had done something i was not supposed to, i was a catholic kid at that time so i had some issues with it back then as to it being right, still i was curious about it and that's why i did it not expecting to really get results but really wanting to. well i got a taste of it and fear made me not continue, so i guess I'll never know now like you or others do. but i really do believe in it that its doable.

Within my belief system, there is a very good explanation as to why an OBE can be extremely frightening to people. The explanation relates to reincarnation.

Because moving out of the body is exactly what happens when your body dies, having an OBE can remind one of dying. And since death is so highly feared and avoided by most people, anything that seems like death can be very upsetting, just like being reminded of any other highly upsetting experience can be upsetting.

That's the theory anyway. happy

That makes sense to me. I'm terrified to do it.
