Yeah you sounded angry and offended and became somewhat defensive but it was only meant as a joke. You had said something to the effect that you "were old" but you still recognized that song and I merely played off that.

Hey im 36, no spring chicken either.

Peace. flowers

I was kind of thinking that also. Its mainly that people associate the full moon as being more powerful or spiritual or whatever the case may be so if something is going to occur, its more likely to happen when the moon is full.

The term Lunatic is derived from the word Lunar (Moon).

Simply put; Hormonal reactions to increased positive ions in the air (Full Moon Effect) cause hyperactivity, depression, violent behavior, road rage, higher occurrences of migraines and asthma. Even bees are known to sting without provocation on higher positive ion ratios.

Contrary to popular belief, however, the frequency of these behaviors will probably be no more significant tonight than on any other night of the year, according to scientific reviews of the theory that the full moon alters the way humans and wildlife behave.

it is true that the moon is always full. As far as gravitic effects there should be no difference

the only difference between a full moon and a new moon is the amount of sunlight falling on it

I do know that the postion of the moon(and the sun) affect the tides so i guess sometimes you can expect some pissed off fishermen

Sun 11/23/08 04:15 PM
I wonder if the tide in a specific area would be affected by the moons phases

you would think it wouldn't be but who knows

As a fisherman I can tell you the moon comes into play. Why? Tides, light?

I would say probably, as the level of the tide is directly related to the position of the moon and the sun. If the moon and sun are aligned, the tide is at its highest. If the Sun and the moon are on opposite sides of the earth, the tides will be at their lowest.
