Ive never got a x-mas gift from an employer, but i think id rather get nothing than a bootleg copy of cheezy x-mas songs. Nothing says cheap like a substandard version of jingle bells!

This is easy. The worse I ever got was from when I worked for the Foot Locker corporation. I was there through two Christmases (don't ask me why). Keep in mind, this is a multi-million-dollar-a-year corporation, yet they paid us a pittance at best, and mandated us to work 10-hour days, 6 days a week (more when necessary, such as during peak holiday season).

As Christmas approached, we were mandated to go in groups into the breakroom to listen to a word from the Big Boss, which consisted of him taking up our valuable work time to tell us Thank You For A Great Job This Year, Thank You For Making This Company A Success, etc. (loosely translated, that meant, "Thank you for making me more of a millionaire, making my BMW payments, and paying my country club dues, while you struggle to eat or put gas in your car or pay your bills.") Then, after his sermon was finished, we were expected to walk single-file past him and shake his hand (his name was D!ck Johnson -- we called this formality "Shaking The D!ck"), at which point our "Christmas bonuses" were to be handed out to us.

What were our "Christmas bonuses", you ask? Glad you asked.

Now, remember how much money this corporation makes per year....

Our "Christmas bonus" (I called it a Christmas BOGUS) was a choice of either....*wait for it!*....a $25 gift card to a local grocery store, OR....a $25 gift card to use at Foot Locker, essentially giving the money right back to the corporation!

Both years, I refused it. I told them they could keep their "gift card", as they obviously needed it more than I did.

Actually, I won a $100 gift card at our holiday lunch a couple years ago. Does that count?

My worst was a toliet seat cover with the company logo. Everyone got one..

My best is who i work for now. Every year we get three weeks off during deer season paid of course and a week off between christmas and new years with a big party. they provide the fuel and the farm land and we provide the trucks. Spend the whole day playing with our trucks. LOTS OF FUN!!!

Yeah I can top it. Had that xmas party. The boss gave us nothing the cheap bastard. Even made us pay for our own drinks the tightwad. Never even thanked us. Just bragged at what a rich successful humanistic person he is. He's a f*cking moron. I dropped a double roofie in his brandy old fashioned and when he passed out in the bathroom I took his wallet. Best christmas bonus I ever got.

Just for the record- I went to the grocery store with my bosses wallet and bought $750 dollars worth of turkeys and $350 dollars worth of cheese for all the employees at work. When anyone asked where I got the money I told them it was out of my christmas bonus. Needless to say we haven't had a xmas party since.

Even bought my boss a bottle of E&J white oak brandy and gave it to him for xmas from his own money. If anyone deserved a robin hood that arrogant ass millionaire had it coming. But I didn't want him to feel left out. Ha ha ha ha.

I saw a story on the news a few years ago about some shoe (or boot) company. I forget the name of the company right at the moment, but it's a fairly well-known brand, although very small in comparison to the "big names". Anyway, the economy had not been very good that year, either, and shortly before Christmas, the boss halted production in the plant in order to speak to all the employees. Their first thoughts were, "Ohhhhh, sh!t, here come the layoffs", but they were wrong. The boss was handing out Christmas bonuses....

For each employee, for every year of service they had put in thus far, they received $1,000. In other words, there was a couple who worked there (man and wife). He had been there 24 years, she had been there 18. Together in total, they took home a $42,000 Christmas bonus. From a little boot company!

And I was offered a $25 gift card from a bazillion-dollar-a-year corporation.

You do the math.
