Good Morning MY FRIENDS! drinker

Most of you are probably not awake and some of you may not post on weekends, we all have a life outside of this site. However, I need, no I don't NEED because I can go w/o having said it, but I WANT to get something off my chest or wherever it's laying!

I have friends on AOL, I use to hang in some of the chat rooms there. Until Mingle, I had never typed in any "forums". I was discussing a thread with some friends from aol and one of them told me my problem was/is that I take people as being REAL. So, I'm admitting my problem! To each and everyone of you who posts regularly in this thread with me, you ARE real to ME! Just because I've not looked at you face 2 face, doesn't mean you're any less REAL.

Merle was the first to ever personally "speak" to me and is responsible for me being in the forums and for the most part was the first one who showed kindness to me personally.

Miss Bonny was second, I played the "ic" game with her and again someone reached out to me, because contrary to what I might display, it's hard for me to be the extrovert.

Fran was next, I have no clue what thread we were in, but she made a statement to me that made me feel so good about myself. Typing in the forums was actually a way of doing some therapy with myself in being able to put myself "out there" rather then retreating to the far end of the wall. She let me know it was ok to move a little closer to the front...that I was worthy!

Ruth was next. I read some of her wiccan thread and learned a great deal about something I truly knew nothing about except what had been "preached" to me, and because of her I learned again, that things I had been "taught" weren't exactly true.

Tx was next...she's one of those "mody" things and I wasn't sure whether she was approachable or not, she showed me she was very approachable and was fun!

All five of you are REAL to me.

Sam, you are as real now also, you are such a good sport at letting me tease you. Some people don't take teasing well and it's always been one of the ways I tried to let someone know I liked them. I DON'T tease those I don't care for.

Jimmy, you've always been so kind and when I first saw your age, I was surprised because your mannerisms and charm was beyond your years and even tho' you tease also, I've read some of the posts that you've allowed others to see a another side of you and because you let me tease you also, you are REAL to me too.

So, if truly caring about you all is a problem and a mistake, then I'll choose NOT to correct my problem and I will continue to make the same mistake over and over. I have nothing to gain by telling each of you how much you mean to me, but I would have less in my life if I had not come to make you all REAL.

:thumbsup:Cathy these are beautiful words to wake up to and the feeling is mutual.

When you truly care about someone that is not a problem nor a mistake, and you go girl these is absoflippinglutely nothing wrong with you, with the choices you make, with the decisions you make, the friends you make, the jokes you make, there is nothing wrong nor is it a problem. 'F' them if they cant understand it.

Hell ya let them know they are being replaced by "REAL FRIENDS"

I normally write two papers in reply, the first, how they would like it, the second, how I see it, then point out they told me to use my own words on how I saw the situation and what my understanding of the topic is/was............. I like my tutor, we have some very good debates, he's a radical. He truly believes that if we follow the same template for everything we do in life, then there will be no room for improvements.

Two papers? Now, that's dedication! I just learned quickly to spit back what they wanted to hear so I could get my grade. Real learning is done outside of the Universities.

this is how real it all is to me:

I have been on a Traditional Roman Catholicism yahoo group for years. The moderator, Stan, posts everyday. Just posting information day after day that people might find useful or helpful. I have talked to this man briefly every week via the group for years. Yesterday he passed away. I would go to his funeral if I could. It's real and he is real to me. Just like you guys are.

Rest in peace, Stan. flowerforyou

(((Ruth))) I'm so sorry! That has to hurt! I've been there too, with AOL, when I heard of someone's actual passing, it actually made me sick to my stomach and would make me feel even sadder that I had not had the opportunity to meet that person face2face.

TY. I am okay about it. flowerforyou

Fran had to jump in and mess up my edit, gawd!

Good Morning (((Fran)))

so here it is again!

That being said, I've told a couple of you guys already, but heres to the others who post regularly here, my home is always open to any of you. I have 3 bedrooms, no one lives here but me, my pup and 3 birds. I live out in the country, nothing much happens in this one-horse town, so if you ever need peace and a bit of boredom, come south, we can be quite charming and I promise never to say "how nice"....well, I kinda promise!

I'll even take you and show you where "Deliverance" was filmed. My ex grew up in that area, NOT ME, I'm originally from 'bama, but anyway, he was in the AF and we both were in Montana. When Deliverance first came out, he was going around bragging to all on the AF base about how it was filmed where he grew up. The movie finally hit the base and we went to see it. I don't recall him ever again bragging about where he grew up to anyone there!

There are truly some remote areas in NC, as well as VA, WVA, and KY too, at least those are some that I've traveled the back roads thru the states. Deliverance was a bit far-fetched, but in these remote places, they truly look at others who go thru there as a whole different species. But what sometimes gets to me, is there is still an INNOCENSE about these people. They haven't been corrupted by what happens in cities or towns. And at the same time, I feel sorry for them, especially the teenagers. Should they ever have to leave for some reason, I don't know they could handle any other type of world.
