please reread what she said... jerk at table 5... leave before spit in food this is in reference to the dude being an a-hole to the waitress. The waitress, on the receiving end of the flirting comments, is offended by his crass and offensive jokes and is inclined to tell the cooks to spit in table 5's food. The male date thinks the crass and offensive jokes are a way of flirting with the waitress. |

The couple guys online that i've actually met in person just can't get past the waitress. Their "jokes" aren't funny and their "flirting"( i think they think thats what it is) is unkind. I know that waitress is in the back thinking "jerk at table 5" and I'm up front staring at dude in horror. Should I walk out when I start worrying that someones gonna spit in my food or should I take my chances and gracefully escape forever after the meal? I have no earthly clue what you just said!!! So I'm going to smile glad i'm not the only one |

natty what is a "tool"... forgive me I'm old No you're not old, but it sounds like some of your dates aren't old enough, or at least not mature enough. But I guess thats how you find out, by dating a few. (remember, don't flirt with the waitress) |

geez.....what's wrong today?? I think she was pretty clear on what she said in the original post. Isn't it something the way stuff gets twisted by the time it gets back to us??
Almost like a rumor at work!!! |

Umm...giving your question some thought...
How far do you think you'll get with these men if they have a sense of humor so inane that you're afraid you'll get your food spit in? It sounds like a classic case of repulsive and that should be taken care of accordingly. If you're direct as a habit be direct and walk out. If you aren't...just mark that one off as a dead loss. Since it isn't excusable it isn't something you have to worry about after you separate yourself from wherever he is. There are plenty of other men I assure you and any man who will mistreat the waitress certainly isn't going to get any better the longer you get to know him. "Familiarity breeds contempt." Keep that in mind and break the connection. As for the waitress...the fastest way to keep your food safe is to call your date out on his stupid behavior in front of her, get her to empathize with you so she spits in HIS food and not yours. A nice waitress will make up something and take your food back if she spit in it if you make a good case and she feels guilty. |

well thanx for the input Ex...sounds like next time I'll mob the free food, order a glass of wine, apologize to the waitress in front of my tool date, and ride off into the sunset to post another topic called "OMG it happened again"

Plan B, meet for coffee first. If he orders a double half-Caff Latte, with extra soy cream, then bit**s that they didn't get it right, or gets stupid with the barista, you can watch them make yours, and you can spill it on him, and say,
"you know, this isn't working out" |
