But........there are some details that some do not know about that actually caused others to take the thread the way they did. You mean those others thinking I was someone elses sister or I was her or whatever? The problem is I didn't know why they were taking the thread the way they were. How would I? All I saw was certain people implying things about me that were not true. They assumed something without finding out if it is true or not first. I figure moderators can use computer technology to see were I post from and you mods can check for double profiles. They should have asked you mods first. I don't think that they should be excused from their behavior because they made false assumptions about me. Edit again: I didn't mean to say you excused their behavior txsgal333, I saw you didn't. I am not here for drama. My main goal at this point is trying to get a certain forum guy to notice me and message me but he is playing hard to get. I can't message him because I am too old fashioned. You might want to rethink that position....! Some of us absolutely refuse to e-mail anybody first -- traumatic experiences and all that....! 
Here's what I do when I want someone special to notice me -- I put hidden messages in my posts -- seriously, I have done that -- and, even though it has never worked yet, who's to say that someday it won't....? i sly slick fellow u

There's another forum guy that's been turning me on lately. I've started ignoring all my mail that isn't from forum people. Why read some guys 10 word profile when I can find out so much more about him on the forums? |

Let's face it, the ONLY thing that REALLY matters is if they know how to use apostrophes or not.... Age matters. If I married a guy 20 years older than me.....then how long would I have to live the end of my life alone? Girls already outlive guys. A guy 20 years older when leave me living the last 25-35 years of my life alone. I also want children and a dad that can play with them. Not a dad that is old enough to be their grand dad. Older guys are pretty cool but when it comes to marriage and raising a family and living together for a long time....age matters, too me anyway.

I have thought about that several times because my Dad married and older woman and now he is alone in his later years. The flip side of that is they were very compatiable personalities and had almost forty years of being happily married. He could remarry now if he chose to but he is realy doesn't want to. I know many older people who remarry in their senior years so being older does not mean being alone unless you choose to be. I do wonder how people who are radically different in age (20 years) would be peers intellectually. I would get really tired of explaining things to a younger partner. Time frames and experiences are so different in a radical age differences. Someone twenty years my junior is not going to really get what I lived through because the world has changed so much. But physically and health wise there are guys my age that are athletic and could keep up with someone 20 years younger. Lot of elements to factor in. |

why not read it? i have met grand people that dont go in the forums either... could be passing up something really good by ignoring others
I do. Most are too short. One or two sentences. Doesn't tell you much. I could chat with them but where do I start? Do I chat with every single guy that sends me a message? I get a lot of messages. I have to start my editing somewhere. Maybe I am missing a great guy but if the great guy can't put 5 sentences in his profile or send a message longer than 1 sentence than I wont notice him. I can only go by what I read. That is why forum guys are at the front of the line. |

I can only go by what I read. That is why forum guys are at the front of the line. That's how I work it with the Mutual Match list -- "I don't know what to write here" = NO "Anything you want to know, you'll have to ask" = NO "I'll fill this in later" = NO "I hate writing about myself" = NO "I'm laid back and easy-going" = NO 97.3% of all local girls' MM profiles are less interesting and less informative than the period at the end of this sentence. |
