Yeah Im going to go. Just haven't made the drive yet. I think I will try to make a weekend of it. The thing about New England is businesses and attractions will shut down generally in November but it varies. It just becomes too cold and snowy to go look at things like that. Plus you cant park hardly anywhere unless you want your vehicle crushed by a snowplow.

What's the weather like so I know what to pack? If you come to New England in winter, you need to pack a lot of WARM clothes and snow boots. I would recommend that you come next month so you can see the leaves changing. Its so beautiful its almost surreal. |

I truly miss seeing Fall. We don't get that here in California and it's my favorite season.

If you come out here Ruth all 3 of us can get together. I wish. I have to use all my sick and vacation time in the summer with my Lupus. But, in the Spring I can go!!!! |

If you come out here Ruth all 3 of us can get together. I wish. I have to use all my sick and vacation time in the summer with my Lupus. But, in the Spring I can go!!!! Spring out East is nice also. You mainly just want to avoid the dead of winter (December though March) unless you really like the snow and snow related activities. Some people do. Me, not so much. And then a lot of things are closed anyway. You might want to also see New York City and Boston or Washington DC if you wont get a chance to do any of that again. |

One of the most common misconceptions about the Wicca religion (or Witches...for those of us who are not Wiccan) is that it involves devil worship. On the contrary, there is no satanic form in Wicca, no evil to blame for life´s low points. Wiccans believe in balance, not dichotomy, meaning that everything has its place and purpose; nothing is "good" or "bad", per se, except perhaps on a situational basis: for a mundane example, food is neither good nor bad, but it is "good" when you are hungry and "bad" when you are full (or perhaps on a diet). Practicing Wicca involves putting one´s life (including the environment) in good order, and the concept of evil or a devil figure does not enter into this way of life at all.

The Witches of Eastwick is on TV right now. Thats a cute film. Cher, Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pheiffer looking incredibly fabulous.

It's been a long time since I've seen that movie...thanks for reminding me of it.
My girls and I love to watch Hocus Pocus. Of course, my favorite "witchy" movie is Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock. |

Of course, my favorite "witchy" movie is Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock. Yeah I loved Practical Magic. It had a real human feel to it. Very often Hollywood's interpretation of Witchcraft is a little over the top and unnecessarily melodramatic. Of course you cant really blame the screen writers as that is what will put asses in movie theater seats. |

Yeah, Practical Magic is the closest movie to what actual practice of the Craft is. And, in the end you find that love - real love is the greatest force of all. Which, on a side note, is why I never do love spells.

I think very often it simply boils down to an either/or situation for many devout or fundamentalist Christians. Im not saying ALL of course as that is an over generalization and then we would be guilty of the same behavior. Its simply that some feel by default you are embracing a notion of "satan" or the "devil" because you are not adhering to an observance of their own godhead. |

Yes, and with atheists or evolution fans, you are either with or against "science." Draw your line in the sand, choose up sides, and now its war. Its a bit silly really. If a discussion reaches a point where one believes one thing and the other won't budge, and there is no more to be shared, there is no point in continuing the discussion. |
