Topic: Cooking for your date. How big a deal??? | |
---|---|
me and my boy both have always thought that cooking for your date is a BIG move/deal ( in most cases) is it as much of a big deal as I believe.
I just feel that it shows a lot of effort and earns lots of bonus points regardless of if she can cook or not |

I guess it can be a big deal if you make it out to be a big deal.

You require nourishment, yes?

I think it's a big deal when I cook for a guy, but what I think is even more impressive is if he would cook for me! Now that would be truly amazing!

Myself I don't cook for a first or second date. But if it is someone that there seems to be something there then sure I will cook. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or supper. I'm not to bad in the kitchen if I say so myself.
But now I do love it when a man cooks as well humm ya never know what all you will get cooking. |

the bigness of the deal is diminished when the man does it with the assumption that it is a big deal...

I just feel that it shows a lot of effort and earns lots of bonus points regardless of if she can cook or not This comes off as a tad manipulative.. earning "bonus points"?! - and what exactly are you trying to purchase with your points? Since when are relationships built on a point system? Shouldn't you cook because you WANT to cook? Demonstrate you're a well rounded person who can show consideration for your partner? IMHO |

I just feel that it shows a lot of effort and earns lots of bonus points regardless of if she can cook or not As a general rule, I don't like my dates to be set on fire or blown up, so I'm not cooking anything. I'm legally barred from being within 100 feet of a stove in 22 states and Puerto Rico. |
