me and my boy both have always thought that cooking for your date is a BIG move/deal ( in most cases) is it as much of a big deal as I believe.

I just feel that it shows a lot of effort and earns lots of bonus points regardless of if she can cook or not

I guess it can be a big deal if you make it out to be a big deal.

I think it's a big deal when I cook for a guy, but what I think is even more impressive is if he would cook for me! Now that would be truly amazing!

Myself I don't cook for a first or second date. But if it is someone that there seems to be something there then sure I will cook. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or supper. I'm not to bad in the kitchen if I say so myself.

But now I do love it when a man cooks as well humm ya never know what all you will get cooking.blushing

the bigness of the deal is diminished when the man does it with the assumption that it is a big deal...

This comes off as a tad manipulative.. earning "bonus points"?! - and what exactly are you trying to purchase with your points? Since when are relationships built on a point system?

Shouldn't you cook because you WANT to cook? Demonstrate you're a well rounded person who can show consideration for your partner?
IMHO

As a general rule, I don't like my dates to be set on fire or blown up, so I'm not cooking anything. I'm legally barred from being within 100 feet of a stove in 22 states and Puerto Rico.
