In this day and age...marriage is an atiquated institution that has no sociological merit whatsoever. The only value that marriage has is the financial boom it provides to the legal community when it sucks the last morsel of life out of an already dying relationship---DIVORCE.

Ho, that's harsh! I think marriage can be a very good thing.

It can be, but you get people who think you can just sign a piece of paper and live happily ever after. But it turns out it doesn't work that way. Marriage is a constant thing that always needs work. Comes down to the old saying "Nothing worth having comes easy".

Very true.

See? No matter how young people think I am I'm not so ignorant after all lol

I think it totally depends on the people doing it. I know I married when I wasn't quite 16 and I loved him and we had a great marriage till the day he died 9 years later. I know I was 37 when I tried it again and it was a disaster from day one literally.
So I can't really give an opinion if there is a set age group that is more ready for marriage I know what all the stat's say but big deal.

I had gotten married at 19, but I loved that man to death. We had our daughter when I was 20. We made it 2 1/2 years when we divorced a couple months after I turned 22. I do beleive that it depends on the maturiaty level of the two people involved. I know now at 22 that I should have waited to get married and in some ways I wish that I had, but then again I would have never learned for that expeirence.
