Oh, so allpersons killed in Iraq are terrorist?

Killing the doctors and nurses is okay too I guess?

Must be all those civilians in Afghanistan are terrorists too?

It's okay to kill men, women and children there both born and unborn?

if you cant see the difference between killing an unborn baby and a terrorist there's no reason to have a discussion

What ever happened to Osama? I wasn't aware the 911 hijackers were from either Afghanistan or Iraq. War is very rarely justified in my book.

then when is it justified in your book

War should be a very very  last resort. Jesus said that "blessed are the peacemakers". I just don't feel that Christians should be so gung-ho about this war. Geez, Vietnam was a very unpopular war, as is this one. Not sure why I'm being flamed for being anti-war.

Because it gives people pride in bullying the smaller guy and stealing his oil.

Only problem is its dressed up as "the war against terrorism"

America is no safer now then when we started this war and many of our constitutional rights have been taken away all for this so called "war on terror".

really

Look up the "Patriot" act

I've read it

I don't think I saw anything in there about repealing the 4th Amendment

I have a hard time with people who claim to be pro-life who are also pro-war. I've seen many in the Christian community who are so for "blowing up those rag heads" and it kinda pisses me off how ignorant these people are.

On the implication that you may be a "terrorist", your house can be searched without probable cause or warrant. This includes all internet transactions, email, etc. That is a huge infringement on our constitutional rights. Who's to say how broad the term "terrorist" may become.

ummm no

they can't search your house without a warrant. it doesn't say that

it does say that they can record phone conversation with a known terrorist contact and an American citizen

The US Supreme Court already vetted and approved the constitutionality of the Patriot Act

no matter what the American Criminal Liberty Union tells you

Eh - your opinion. But reality is that there hasn't been another day since 9/11 where mujaheddin have killed thousands more innocent men, women and children in any other attacks on US soil. Even though there have been ongoing attempts... Which makes the statement that America is no safer overly simplistic (if not just wrong).

A lot of people have given their lives to prevent repeat attacks like we've suffered prior. It's a 'war' for a lot of people, even if not for you personally. As much as some people want to believe otherwise, pretend no danger exists, or think it's a government conspiracy - real people are fighting and dying in this 'so called' war on terror.

Appreciate it or not - it's real and it's on-going every day all around the world for a lot of people. Again, maybe not for you personally, as long as other people are willing to fight to keep that war away from you...

But the people that have died, who are fighting in it now, and the ones who will die wouldn't want it any other way. And I pray that they never lose any more battles in that war so we never have to suffer another day like 9/11.

Peace

I don't mean to come off that way. I include links 'cause they can provide much more info than I can about what we're talking about and quicker than I can type.

Face it, governments are not always honest with their people about their motives. I just smell something very fishy about a lot of things we've been told and things that have gone on.

Just like with God, I'll never know the complete truth about everything that's going on, but I have a much easier time trusting God then the US gov.

I appreciate and honor those that have served in the military for their bravery and sacrifice. I think most everyone wants peace, I just don't know enough of what's really going on behind the scenes in this war to say that the only way to peace is war.

I have a hard time with people who claim to be pro-life who are also pro-war.

The reason many people have a hard time with people being pro-life and pro-war is because of the silly and untruthful labels we give people.

Pro-life?? So other people are anti-life? NOT. Most Pro-choice people don't believe a fetus is life, that's why they feel abortion should be a woman's right.

Anti-abortion?? So other people are pro-abortion?? NOT. Pro-choice people don't wish people to have abortions. They just wish people to have the right to choose what they do with their bodies.

Pro-choice?? So others are anti-choice? NOT. Pro-life people feel choice only applies to your own life and since they feel a fetus is a person you should not be able to abort it.

Pro-war?? Are there really PRO war people?? Maybe some nutcases but mostly no. Many people feel war is an necessary evil and must sometimes be waged. Those who wanted to invade Iraq were not PRO war. They didn't want people to die. They just felt (rightly or wrongly) that the war was necessary to save more lives in the future.

People will start understanding each other better when people stop labeling each other with a broad brush.
