So far I have read Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackeys and Janet Morris.
Isaac Isomov was a little to technical for my taste. I love Piers
Anthony's work. Janet has the fourth series out on Cruiser Dreams.
Anybody else read any of Janet's work?

THE KERRION EMPIRE: Book (1) One: Dream Dancer; Book (2) Two: Cruiser
Dreams; Book (3) Three: Earth Dreams I am not sure what the fourth book
is but enjoyed the first three.

If you like Anne McCaffrey, you'll enjoy Gregory Keyes. I always
recommend his books especially the Kingdoms of Thorn and Bone series.

Thanks for the mention. Have you had a chance to check out Stephen R.
Donaldson's work? Stephen is a doctor who has dealt with leprosy and the
books are just fantastic. It is the Thomas Covenant The Unbeliever
series.

I have read a couple of his books; they read just like Tolkien's.
Although most fantasy writers seem to be heavily influenced by Tolkien!

Great recommendation! I read Catwings to the kids quite often and they
always love it!

Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman are really good. They have a series
called the Death Gate Cycle that was awsome.

Lisa Goldstein is good as well, particularly the novel The Red Magician.
