You cannot legislate morals. More over no one should try. Anyone who is so weak, so morally pliable that they think the government should or that churches must do so, is a pretty sad kind of human being. Look at who has made up the congress and the executive branch over the years. It is a pendulum swinging sometimes broadly but always, over time, balancing to the center. It is the genius of the process!

personally I like he has or is inexperienced as was brought up so often. One of the biggest mistakes we have let happen is carrer politians. That is why they do not work for me or you it is the good ole boys club. I scratch your back you scratch mine. So I welcome his inexperience in politics. Freshman senators or Representives usually go in with a zeal to get things done. Do the right thing. Obama as most Americans know wants NAFTA repealed or drastically changed. What politian have you heard cry wolf about NAFTA? None that I know of because big business is who they work for and the CEO's of all the companies that sent thier work oversea's are still the Fat Cats so to speak. His stance on NAFTA bringing it out in the Debates and campaign shows he has not been bought and paid for YET. hopefully it will stay that way. We have not seeen excitement over a Pres. since JFK.. We see his idea's about war where it got him. Hopefully Obama will be protected alittle more. As far as a Mutt like me goes.. Shows me he is more like me than different. Lets pray his Excitement over public servantude does not change for all of us..

Hello, testing one two three, I am pretty sure Obama knows that Africa is a continent and NOT a country. Who do you think I was referring to? If you want to continue to talk about Obama do it on another thread. Frankly I would like to know how anyone could reach the heights of the office that Sarah Palin did without knowing some pretty basic geography? In fact my son who is in 2nd grade knows all seven continents. Wow!!!

I am sure Sarah will be hitting the books, getting briefed and groomed over the next few years. I will keep an eye out though not just for her but for the next dog & pony show they trot out. My maybe bet is the Newt and maybe a properly trained Sarah running in 2012 nahh Newt is too divisive and they know it. He had his time in the spotlight. He's done except for the lecture circuit (he does do great history lectures)

yeah and that person could have been VP. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. Or even president someday. that is in january!!!!
