You love your family....you would inflict real and permanent harm on those that would screw with those that you love. You got no problem with eating feral game. You know the name of your meat proccessor...ya got somebody dying to cut off that friggin mullet....You would easily shed blood sweat or tears to help your fellow man/woman through a tough time.

I am a red neck....done plenty of roustabout (oilfield) goat roper (Ranch hand ) work......

What I am proudest of....no one hates me...I earn my way...got plenty of people who apprecieate me for being a gentle soul who won't take any sh%t off of any one. Glad to be Red necked...(If I didn't wear my hair in a bun to work, my neck wouldn't be red....but, my hair would have long ago been sucked into heavy equipment so some of us have to split the difference.

Never met a pair of souls brave enough to try to cut my hair for me....F&ck those pansies.

ive used the term redneck in the past.. and today in fact.. but it was NEVER intended as a dirogoritory comment.. a am born and raised a redneck.. my parents rednecks.. my kids.. sadly growing up to be just as redneckie as i am.. and i LOVE every second of it!!!

as a sheltered canadian, i hadn't heard the term used often and had originally thought that it was a just a word to call someone from the south, specifically the country, similar to a yankee being from the north.

i was vacationing in myrtle beach one year, i was about 16, and called a guy i met a redneck. he was really insulted and said that you shouldn't use that term as it is very offensive. so i stopped using it.

of course, i've since learned that real rednecks have no problem at all referring to themselves as such, and i even use the word now affectionately and as a term of endearment.

Ive never actually met a redneck before.......but in my mind they are all called Bubba and have big guns in their trucks!!! And they wear alot of plaid!!!

thats got to be the most narrowminded comment in this thread. i grew up with a sunburned neck working on a tobacco farm. and i take great offense to that. my family has always farmed, and yeah, we may not be the best at social graces, but i tell you what,, i would prefer the company of someone like them to someone like you anyday.

well,, im country,, have tattoos,, and long hair,, both ears pierced,, was raised farming, and listen to more rock than anyone in my family,,, in fact,, i listen to more than most people i know. i can go from rock to rap to country to bluegrass to classical piano, stereotyping does no one anygood what so ever.
