good stuff -- a topic complaining about politics which brings about more political talks... that's gotta give ya warm fuzzies all over, right? ;) (OH YEA...get out and VOTE!) It's important because unfortunately, in my opinion at least, MANY people who will whine and complain AFTER an election are the same people when asked will admit they did not vote. I will debate with anyone at all on how we think differently - but if someone does not vote, their opinion(s) and complaints no longer matter. I wasnt complaining about politics. It just gets old when everyone and there mom feels the need to post a new thread about getting out to vote. I think most people have decided by now whether or not they are going to vote or not. So theres no need to push the subject on a dating site. We get enough of it as it is through the media. And yes....I am voting.

I agree....first thing I saw at my dads house today when I got off of work was an Obama sign, in the front yard... I asked him if he lost his mind...thats is like welcoming Bin Laden into the white house... Hey...that is a pretty red face....with a sparkeler in its head...lol

the funny thing is.all i hear is "this is the most important election in history,so go out and vote" how is this the most important election when i've been hearing that with every election i can remember? what makes this one any different?

I think antacid sales have probably increased in this nation in the past few months thanks to this so called election... i took all my money out of the stock market and put it into the antacid and battery company for those sex toys they are giving away I'll be able to retire after tomorrow

Unless you stop to consider that perhaps their silence is their vote. I don't support either John McCain or Senator (soon to be President) Obama. Your argument holds that if I don't vote, I lose my right to complain? What if there is no one running that I'd like to see win? The First Amendment to our Constitution does not allow for freedom of speech so long as one votes. It allows for freedom of speech based on the idea that we all have a right to voice opinions, to agree, and to disagree. But my right to speak my mind does not have to be exercised. I can also voice my opinion by staying out of and away from this current election. I believe both McCain and Obama, if elected, will owe too many favors to put the national interest first and by voting for the one I somewhat agree with I'd simply be tacitly approving that which I find flawed. Tomorrow is a huge day--a historic day and in some ways a huge step in the right direction in that many will exercise what they consider a duty. My duty is to my own opinions and in putting the Republic first, I refuse to vote for either of the two men with a legitimate chance. -Drew

HO HUM Can't wait to read your posts in 2.5 years b*tching about your state's tax bills, educational funding for your children, your company's health care coverage or lack thereof, your retirement funds, long-term care for your loved ones, governmental funding for war crimes, smart growth in your public community, your personal right to abort, just to name a few "known" hot topics that affect YOU directly that you may be aware of due to "Google" and c/p posts in dating site threads.
