Could you see yourself fleeing from police and starting a high-speed chase?

I don't mind the sun sometimes
the images it shows
I can taste you on my lips and smell you in my clothes
Cinnamon and sugary and softly spoken lies
you never know just how you look through other people's eyes

Yes! That would be a great way NOT to avoid getting a ticket!

Actually, if it was under certain circumstances, YES!shades

Well, it depends on the cirucumstance really. If I were having a bit too much to drink and he pulled me over for weaving, then probably not; lest I end up wrecking the car three feet from where I got pulled.

But if I had just shot a guy who had raped and murdered a family member of mine or something, you can bet I'm going to try and run from that one. Going all the way to Mexico on that one!

Chase, yes. High-speed? Sometimes, but not always. Two of my best friends and I used to do that all the time in high school. We all had small, zippy cars at the time (one had a Pontiac Fiero, one had a Toyota MR2, and I had a Toyota Celica). We had an area through town we called "The Run", and we would deliberately do something to attract the cops' attention to get them to chase us. We would never do anything malevolent or could be hurtful to anyone else, just something enough outside of the lines to get the attention of the cops. Then, we'd make a 'train' of our cars and lead the cops through this area we called "The Run", which was a long series of narrow alleyways and sharp turns that the cops in their Crown Vic's couldn't keep up to us on. laugh We'd lose 'em every time, and they never could catch up to us close enough to get our plate numbers or descriptions, although they all knew who we were. To this day, I don't know if any of them actually figured out all the routes we took. I'm sure if they really had a hard-on for us that they could've caught us, but I think it was more of just as much of a release for them as it was for us.

We'd never be able to get away with doing that today, though. Too many badge-happy, by-the-book cops around here nowadays.
