There's a difference between a woman being "fat" or having all the right delicious curves in all the right places. I'm a boobs and ass man. I surely find real ladies with real curves a total turn on. Some women are blessed with a hot, womanly figure and some aren't. It's in the genetics or their thick ass in their "jeans". lol

Magazines and TV are doing an awful disgrace to the "common" woman. Those women don't wake up looking like they do. They have ARTIST who make them look like they do, they are afforded all kinds of things that we "average" women can't even afford on our birthday. AOL did a spill on some of the stars w/o their makeup, they were no prettier then the average woman who walked around in walmart...some looked worse!

My hot tub is warming up

I'll have to find the other two accountants first...and you better have the drinks!

I have plenty to drink.

No!!!!! Absolutely NOT!!!

Hell no!....

This thread sounds like a version of my Mom saying...."If you love me, it shouldn't matter what I weigh or what I look like"...that is a weak cop out...

I, personally, WANT to look as good as I can for the woman I love. How weak would it be for me to say..."you love my soul.... Ya gotta love my physical form too...even when I will put no effort into looking nice for you"

If this thread is about, "I try to look better for my mate but have a hard time with it"...I can understand that.

If it is...."I am not gonna put any effort into being more appealing for my love"...I got no pity.

Are you serious?
...I HATE the fact I am over weight.
I get SO scared to meet anyone because of it...embarassed

First off hon, if you are upfront and honest from the beginning then why would you be afraid? They already know who they are meeting.

Just be truthful.

Secondly you are beautiful. No reason to feel that way.

I do have to say I can fluctuate a few extra pounds but only to where my regular clothes are a bit tight. But I really like staying in shape. That's important to me.

I like staying around 8 or 10, maybe a 12. I'm an hourglass figure and honestly love my body. Hell I turn MYSELF on love

Ladies with this body type...their are plenty of men who appreciate ya. Goof is one of them, so rock on those of you with "back". You chicks rock.

Actually, surveys say 75-80% of men love a curvy, even voluptuous woman over a thin one.

Aren't we glad ladies?

I feel that I should point out....I am not a complete jerk.

I have had many full figured loves...each beautiful in thier own way. I have no right to ask for physical perfection...I cannot offer perfection so it just seems right to apprecieate the loved ones who stand within arms reach.

However, I do not say that like it is a Carte Blanche for a person to let them selves go to pot and just expect people to find it sexy. Being lazy and apathetic is not sexy.

Just my opinion.

I don't think the OP was referring to anyone who's "problem" was being lazy and apathetic. All the ladies that posted here, IMO, don't appear to be either of those and are, as far as my eyes can see...beautiful.

I agree One.....Just can't let anyone be comfortable where they are...

Tommorrow, I hope to get up and be a better person than I was today...I know it sounds impractical...but, it is do-able.

I hold everyone to the standards that I set for myself.

And my reply wasn't meant to indicate that you weren't. I've seen too many of these threads that were meant to do good get turned around and then pulled because it turned into something hurtful. I, also, don't believe that one just chooses to be "lazy or apathetic", there's another underlying problem. If one compliment can, if nothing else, bolster one's own self esteem, then maybe that's all they needed to make changes, if they see fit! flowerforyou

Krupa, I think everyone could agree that apathy in any form is never pretty.

I'm sure you must be sensitive and aware enough as well to know that the pressures of today's society constantly raining down on women in particular who are larger, because of the skewed advertizing blitz being carried out by the Wall Street media moguls. This, of course, tends to engender a sense of false self image among women in general and a lower sense of self esteem among women who are larger, be it by a little or a lot.

You saw me suggest that everyone should love yourself, all of yourself regardless of the state your body happens to be in and I reiterate that because that is the healthiest course. The more we love ourselves, the better care we will take of ourselves.

i think that douche bag from last night needs to wear like...an apathy body suit...so he can see what its like to have a "few extra pounds"

maybe then he wont be such an a$$...

i dont particlarly LIKE being the weight i am, but im comfortable with myself, and im slowly but surely shedding the lbs...i just wish others would see that too...

krupa

i think the fact that you had to post secondary and regroup just to clear up what you'd stated without anyone even attacking it shows that when you re-read it, you understood that it came off as harsh and judgemental.

good for you for catching that.

i agree partially but i also think that without knowing the facts and passing judgement on people who are overweight for any reason isnt something that you should be doing. can you do it? of course. that is the right of free will.

but should you? as someone who is trying to be a better human being every day.. and whatever underlying issues you have with overweight women and your mother, you should stop and think first.

not every woman chooses to be fat.

you're right apathy isnt sexy.

but know the difference. recognize it. because not all are walking around with it hanging over their head like an ugly hat.

as that you state you are not one to judge with your looks and such but you do it anyway, understand that others will do the same and thats the weight of the world. everyone judges. how you say it and how you present your opinions creates the basis for how others will accept them.

no one here is asking you to love our bodies. we are thanking those who do.

We're not a Ken and Barbie society Thank Gawd. We all have our own personal taste on the human body. Just because a person looks a certain way doesn't mean they themselves are not a person. I have my personal perferences. And yes I like looking at their figures. And yes to each their own. It's how you see the person that warrants your reaction to them.
