My opinion on this is one can have all the book smarts they want to and not a lick of common sense to go along with it.

Just because one has a degree does not make them and expert handling others.

What bugs me is the saying "This is the Internet People" so due to that fact does ones intelligence get thrown out the window? To me I see it as and excuse for some to be rude and just don't give a chit what they say to others.

My self I believe you should be your self but remember these are real people with real feelings your talking about.

But as far as being called old heck that don't bother me in the least. If that is all they can resort to is calling me names or try to put me down then it seems my intelligence has far out past what they think they have. For they have resulted in grasping at straws to try and bring me down to their level. To me then it is time to walk away believe me it leaves them looking bad not the one that walked away.

Let them run thier yapper.

So what?

Old age, experience and treachery will beat out youthful ignorance and inexperienced enthusiasm any day.

Point of reference: An old bull and a young bull stand on a hill top and look down at a herd of cows. The young bull says...."Let's run down there and f$ck a cow!!!!"

The old bull says "No....I am gonna walk down there and f$ck them all"

Hahahahaha!!! That's great! I almost shot coffee out of my nose. Helluva way to wake up...rofl rofl rofl

Heck I'm sure many think I'm old but then I think they think too much

Besides my age has nothing to do with my intelligence's or common sense. It is all up to each if they retain anything in life no matter what age they are. bigsmile

Don't worry. I just checked his profile cause it was so quiet.

His account has been deactivated.

I saw that too (neener neener)

it was more something that he said that I've heard before. So I was just wondering why young people seem to think "you're old" is such an insult?

Let 'em call me old. See if I care. The thing they're forgetting is, they're not gonna stay young forever either, and to be honest, many of them will be LUCKY to make it to our age!

Old to me hasn't got a lot to do with age.
Young people have personality - and they express it.

Somewhere along the way, Khakis and golf shirts replace that. Seriously - wtf?

Young people have a desire for life to be exciting, full of concerts and concert T's that communicate that, socializing with friends, and taking things to extremes for fun.

Old people want to come home from work, read the newspaper, eat dinner, watch American Idol on TV, go to bed sleeping back to back with June Cleaver, clicking off another day towards retirement.

Being old doesn't have to do with age, it has to do with lifestyle! Personally, I would be insulted...
