Actually, it was Lawton Chiles who screwed Jeb out of being President. If Jeb had beaten Chiles for Governor in '94 he'd have had six years in office instead of two when the 2000 election was coming around. The only chance the Republicans had this year after eight years of Dubya was to change the law so Arnold the Governator could have run. Shouldn't marrying a Kennedy give you a free pass to the White House? Camelot! |
