Hawaiian, I am glad from my post evolved this dialogue. I would also
like to include:

1)Do we (men &/or women) really know what we want or do we use these
artificial excuses to attribute to our failed relationships?

2)How is what we desire clearly defined.

Fortunately, one thing remains constant in the whole equation and that
is we are all ppl--we will define what we want (i.e. "nice guy/gal") in
myriad ways. Anyone care to add--this is just my theory.

Girls will tell you they want a man who's tall dark and handsome, but
I've been told that's what I am (Not trying to sound so full of myself)
and look at me =D Accepting the whole nice guys finish last theory.

Everyone tells me "Your a very nice guy."
This I can be & is how I chose to be.
There situations that require me to be "Not Nice"
This I can be, when I chose/need to be.

We all have the ability to be all things.
We are as we chose, when we chose.

level-headed, reliable, forgiving, patient, discipliened, tasteful, strong, sensitive, trustworthy, supportive, self-confident, strong willed, sociable, protector, caring, loyal, loving. that is what a true man should be.

I think they have disappeared from this world, at least the ones that I could date.

You people fail to realize there is no "nice" or "bad" guy. It is all relative to the observer, but generally "nice" guys are pansies.

Imo..it has nothing to do with nice guys finishing last.It has to do with knowing that when push comes to shove,a man is capable of standing up and kicking a$$ if it is needed.
Children look up to their mothers for caring and protection
Women look up to men for the same thing.
There is a difference between a nice man defending someone and a man just being an a$$ cause he thinks he's got something to prove

How to tell the difference?..their actions

Floor-mats, pushovers, "okay, hunny." type. I'm sure women love these qualities once in awhile, but nothing beats great after-argument angry sex.

Nice doesn't=doormat, imho.
Nice is nice... plain and simple.
How we treat others...
Not if we act the pansy... but rather, if we forego strife

But imho, fug the ones who don't understand.

Nice doesn't need a definition, it isn't something people need to constantly remind others about...There's a modest touch that a lot of these "nice guys" lack, horribly.
