So if we pretend that the president can do anything, would it not be safe to think he would surround himself with intelligent qualified people? I mean, that he could POTENTIALLY do...

I hope so

Well, firstly you need a person who cares more about the issue than being right.

Goof nice post.
That is what is wrong with our country. Choose the less of two evil, what the hell the person taking office should be elected because of this.

Our systems is good but on the wrong track because both side just woory about themselves.

Just because we hate the former Pres no matter what party we should not vote just on that fact.

The person I supported was Edwards this time.

I vote both sides but for the person not the party.

Yes, he can...but here is the thing. Obama is going to do whatever he can to get himself re-elected in 2012. So, knowing that, he has to do what is important right now to most people...the economy. That's a no brainer. The economy hits a recession, it will eventually go back up. It is cyclical.

But.....but....the President has to believe that what he is doing is for the best. Even if it turns out wrong, he has to have that belief. Leaders have to have this quality. That have to make a final decision and stick to it. Obama just doesn't show me anything that says he would. I am not saying McCain has the answers. Not saying that at all. But I feel more secure with him as the leader. If he leads, I want a Democratic lead Congress. I want that balance. If Obama is elected, then I want a Republican lead Congress.

You can put people around you...but you have to trust these people to do what you feel is best for the country. That's what the Politicians have forgotten...they are elected officials that represent the people...not their own personal agenda. Until that is fixed???....Who knows.

Let me also say that I do not....DO NOT....hate Obama. Nor do I fear a "black" man being elected. I have been accused of these such things. I really do want to believe that he can lead. I love to hear him speak. He is awesome at that. And that is why the public loves him. But when he did his interview with Anderson Cooper a few months back, Obama choked. And, Cooper is not a threatening interviewee like O'Reily. Cooper just put Obama on the spot...and Barack could not handle it. If he showed me more, and if I believed he could lead us, then I would vote for him. But I simply cannot.

I think my main issue is the right fighting. The emphasis on being correct. The sudden change McCripple had towards change, he has to be right. He's going on Larry King 'cus he doesn't have the $ to do his own show like Obama. Then my concerns shift toward the advertised issues at hand. War, taxes, healthcare....

Obama has the $$$ because he lied to the American people about taking federal funds for the election.

actually it doesn't matter if you agree or not. Obama refused public financing (whether he promised not to or not) so he is not limited to the amount he can spend. McCain accepted public financing so he is limited to how much he can spend. Thta is why Obama can outspend him

See, these issues, trivial things I see.... they don't bother me. It's the larger picture and attitude stuff that gets me going...

I'm voting tomorrow, after I see two inmates.

At the start of the campaign both candidates pledged to take federal campaign money for the election which would limit the amount of money they could raise. After the DNC Obama backed out of his promise, McCain did not.
I don't see lying to the American people as trivial. If he can lie about something like that-what else is he going to lie about?

I don't agree. He didn't expect the donations to be so generous. He's using the donations instead of the taxpayer's money. I like that.

Beach~

Are you freaking serious?frustrated

Do you understand that politics is a series of lies and the game is saying what you need to say, to whom you need to say it, and saying different things to different people all the time and hoping to God you don't get busted?

Tell me your last post was a joke.

I pledged last week not to date for awhile. I went out with someone like four days later. Ohhh ohhh I'm a liar and can't be trusted.
